Hi there! This space is truly a hidden gem in the East Bay. The Beautiful Creative Meeting Space is 750 square feet of beautiful exposed timber, brick, and concrete that has been recently renovated. The Beautiful Creative Meeting Space is perfect for a company, team, or group that is looking for a comfortable, inspiring, and flexible environment to hold an off-site meeting or retreat. We have a large whiteboard, two large handcrafted redwood conference tables, and other tables and seating for up to 50 people. The rate during the week (Monday through Friday afternoon) is $35/hour as listed. Weekend hours (Friday evening through Sunday evening) are $79/hour. We've hosted many corporate off-sites and team-building days ranging in size from large national companies to small local businesses. We're happy to accommodate your team and customize the space to fit your specific needs. The Beautiful Creative Meeting Space features gorgeous handcrafted tables, fine art, and decor...all created by local Bay Area artists! We provide a speaker system, small whiteboard, projector and wallscreen, wireless LED colored lighting that you can customize to your color scheme, and smart locks. There are 14 outlets spread around the venue as well. The Beautiful Creative Meeting Space is located in the West Berkeley neighborhood. West Berkeley is an up-and-coming part of the East Bay that is full of young families, artists, and technology companies. There is both metered and non-metered street-parking available and best of all the venue is extremely accessible from the freeways and highways (right of I-80!). The rate during the week (Monday through Friday afternoon) is $35/hour as listed. Weekend hours (Friday evening through Sunday evening) are $79/hour as listed here. You are responsible for removing all items you bring into the space, including garbage and recycling. Basically, we operate a "leave no trace" policy. We will clean thoroughly before you rent so that is sparkling upon your arrival. We will take care of a full cleaning after the event, but ask that you remove anything you've brought in. You may bring in any food you like. You may bring your own catering service as well. No live music. You will be responsible for any significant damage done to the facilities or products in the space. Normal wear and tear, however, is not a problem.
Sarah was an amazing host. From pre-booking inquiries to the day before the event, she responded quickly and with all the info I needed. The space looked even better in person and I hosted a tiki tea time themed bridal shower with 27 guests. There was plenty of space, chalkboard easel for us to use, iPad logged into Spotify for us to play music and a handy sink and mini fridge in the back. The guests enjoyed the rustic ambiance and especially enjoyed the hanging plants from the ceiling that matches our theme. I had one week before the event to provide final headcount (very flexible!). Colored lights weren’t available even though they were advertised but everything else was perfect. Parking in front of the space was also pretty plentiful.
Pros: Lovely bright space with good working surfaces. Quiet and thoughtfully decorated with plants. Suggestions for improvement: The gentleman meeting us was 5 minutes late to let us in. There were some ants crawling around that ended up crawling on some of our team members. Very reasonable rates.
This was our second time using the space and it was great, again! Our event attendees always rave about this space when they fill out their program evaluations. It's such a great step up from using a hotel banquet facility.
