The Valley Capri is the quintessential California location, restored and dressed as a mid-century suburban home going through it's life time in the 70's. Built in 1953, this time capsule is nestled in the heart of The Valley and features a 1,700 sq ft single-story floor plan, surrounding desert gardens, and all the essential details needed to fully embody it's time. The home includes a sunken lounge with shag carpet that includes a piano and sexier feel furniture setting, a wood-panel living room and entry way with chevron design at archway, working fireplace, and 12 ft sliding glass window, covered with a dreamy cream semi-sheer macrame curtain for soft light or strong natural light when opened. Dining area embodies a groovy mod theme featuring Panton wall art, George Nelson bubble lamp, and flower power dining set. Amongst each room, there are several walls, furniture, and carpets to shoot against. The backyard teleports you to a poolside getaway featuring cactus-lined white washed walls, striking 8x20 ft. breeze block wall, lounge chairs next to the pool with hanging plants and shell macrame surrounding the covered patio dining area. Furthest corner of yard feature a wood burning malm with 70's spectrum patio dining furniture and dragonfruit climbing up a smaller breezeblock section. Back and front yards are lit most of the day due to south facing position of the home. The first bedroom is 70's themed with Bohemian wood furniture, kitschy leopard painting, green shag rug, vintage skateboards, hanging plants and much more. Attached bathroom is fully covered in yellow and brown tone floral wallpaper. Pink and sunset wallpaper in 2nd bathroom, with porcelain tub and original blue tiles surrounding. Funky 70's master bedroom, with striped wall paper back wall, retro lighting and shag Rya rug included. Windows covered with detailed single and multi-tone macrame semi-sheer curtains, for subtle back lit imagery or good natural lighting throughout the house. Office is used for hair and makeup, wardrobe, and rest area, with small loveseat, lounge chair, rack, and folding table. Kitchen is wallpapered with 70's avocado and white utensil and vegetable scene with avocado contrasting walls, cute retro tv, and various 50's-70's kitschy decorations. We have a 1987 White El Camino, 1964 Gold Dodge Dart, and 1984 Dodge Ramcharger on the property that are available for rental, please inquire within as these are not included in the hourly rate and will not be available for shooting without rental. Plenty of street parking for crew on street and quiet main street a couple blocks away for larger production vehicles and base camp.
