Our beautiful mid century modern styled space in Lincoln Park is used for a variety of social and creative uses, as well as a cool indoor photo shoot location for other photographers and filmmakers. When you rent our studio you will get exclusive use of the space. Feel free to bring in your own food and beverages, hire the caterer of your choice or cook in our full kitchen. Our byob studio is the the perfect venue for baby showers, bridal showers, first birthday parties, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, launch parties, corporate dinners, smaller weddings, bespoke parties and small events and byob classes. Furniture can move around depending on your needs and we have additional folding tables and chairs not pictured. Our spacious loft like studio is roomy enough for groups of up to 50 whilst at the same time feels intimate and cosy for smaller groups or events because of the different areas for your guests to make themselves at home. For evening events ask about the different ways we can color light the space (see some of the color light designs in our images). Parking: There is no permit parking on our section of the street. We also recommend the meter parking on Halsted and Clark st (free on Sundays) and also sporthero.com has some lots of great options for parking lots close to our studio. Guests who follow these guidelines should have no issues finding parking. Please note that curtains seen in some images are no longer available Chairs: We have enough chairs for 30 people to sit at tables for eating but please note that they will not all match. We have one set of 12 chairs, two additional sets of 4 and the remaining are plastic folding chairs. If you would like everything to match we recommend a chair rental company. Transport: We are in between Fullerton and Diversey stations (10 min walk to each). Such a lovely place for a baby shower. There's nothing I'd improve about the space and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Rent this place if you can.
Everything about booking this space was a breeze, from online booking to locking up. Emma answered my (many) emailed questions very quickly, and I was able to get in and look at the space easily before booking. The space worked out wonderfully for a work retreat of 13 people—we had plenty of room to sit comfortably around the table and plenty of room for breakout groups without it being TOO big and spread out. The decor is cozy and undistracting, the staff were nice and helpful, locking up was as easy as hitting a button, and there's a bar across the street that we hit up for post-retreat beers. Although there's just one bathroom, our cyclists were happy that it had a shower!
Great area, parking was no problem (one of my main concerns). The space was perfect for an intimate baby shower and looks even better in person. Emma was great, responded right away to the many questions I had.
The space was perfect. Exactly as described. Everyone who attended the working retreat commented how nice it was to be away from the office. Love the location and the vibe!
This space was perfect for our alumni engagement event. We hosted parents, students and alumni. The layout made it perfect for mingling and fostering conversation. The amenities were incredible: Bose Bluetooth speaker, a full kitchen, refrigerator, Apple TV, tv, projector, utensils, donnerwear, you name it, they had it. The staff was extremely accommodating. The set-up and amenities were available on-time as requested. The space was spotless and ready for production at the reserved time. We were greeted by staff and introduced to all the amentiries and someone checked in midway through event. Compliments from attendees plentiful.. This will be my go-to space for future events.
The space worked out wonderfully. My favorite part was how easy it was to book it at the last minute. It was a really nice venue, and it made me feel at home. The only con would be parking, because it’s in a residential area.
Emma and the rest of the Hummingbird staff were so lovely and easy to work with! I hosted a bridal shower brunch here for my sister and the space couldn’t have been more perfect! The layout was very functional and it fit 25 people very comfortably. The space itself is so cute you barely need to bring any decorations in of your own. The kitchen was so well stocked with supplies and utensils and we were able to use what they offered to prepare simple last minute food for the party like guacamole and cut vegetables. Overall this space is so cute, centrally located, well stocked and functional and very affordable! There’s also lots of street parking around! Everyone commented on how great it was and was wondering how they could book it! Thank you to Emma for being so communicative and easy to work with! So grateful I found Hummingbird Studios!
