Our space was converted from a machine shop and garage to an open loft in the late 1990s. The main room space is approximately 600 square feet. It is now a live/work space for local tech firm, that we use for team retreats, meetings, presentations and workshops. In the hip NOBE neighborhood with many nearby restaurants and cafés including the Townhouse, Summer Summer Thai, Noodle Theory Provisions, and Doyle Street Café, and within walking distance of the Emeryville Tech/Biotech area. Our space is within a ten minute walk from Trade Joe's market, Powell Street Plaza, the Public Market, Amtrak, and Bay Street. Details about amenities: High Speed WiFi Tea provided 2 couches, a sofa chair, and 7 wooden chairs - comfortably seats 12 Living room table and dining room table Access: Main living space, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, utility room, and top level office/bedroom available during booking Guests will receive the key on the day of booking Transportation: Number 72, 72M & 72R bus lines to and from downtown (10-15 minute ride) BART ride to and from two airports: OAK (15 minutes) & SFO (1 hour) Street parking & one parking space in driving way Previous guests used our space for team retreats, company presentations, and group workshops. Guests have full access to the lower and top levels. The bottom level has the main living space with 50 foot ceilings, two large couches, a sofa chair, a charming old style living room table. The bottom level also has the kitchen, a bathroom, and a dining area which has a old style Mexican table with six normal chairs and one ergonomic chair. On top level there is a office/bedroom and bathroom. The top level has three desks, two chairs, a queen bed, and a bathroom. Host Rules Set up & clean up times are included in the rental hours. Shoes only allowed on bottom floor. Screen door must remain closed for duration of the rental. Music must remain at a moderate level; please mind our neighbors No smoking Previous guests used our space for cocktail receptions, product launch parties, dinner parties, and social gatherings. Furniture can only be moved by the host upon request Front door must be locked upon departure from the space; please leave key on ledge by front door Shoes are only allowed on the bottom level. If you use the top level, please put your shoes on the rack and head up the stairs on your right. Guests are not allowed to use the second level (up the serial staircase unless other arrangements have been made. If you want to cool the house down, open the balcony door (on the third level) and prop open the inner front door with the mat to create a cross breeze. Feel free to use the closet behind the mirrored door on the left. If you want to warm the house up, you may use the heater downstairs. The controls are near the downstairs bathroom door. When you use the heat, please make sure that the bathroom and utility room doors are open so that the heat will circulate. Trash/Compost/Recycling Please separate trash, compost, and recycling. Trash must be taken out at the end of your booking, and placed in garbage containers. We recycle paper, cans, bottles, etc... The trash and compost (green container with a top) are underneath the sink in the kitchen. The recycling is in a blue bin in the utility room near the kitchen. If you need to take out the trash, please put in the brown container in the front of the house. The compost goes in the green container and the recycling goes in the gray container. Dishwasher There is a special trick to using the dishwasher. Watch this video: http://youtu.be/9UdphjRzQ8Q Kitchen Feel free to use the kitchen. I just ask that you clean up after yourself after use. You are welcome use the spices (in the upper cabinet to the right of the sink) and condiments (in the fridge). The compost is in the silver pot on the counter to the right of the sink. The garbage is under the sink. Parking/Street Cleaning Please let me know if you are driving. You can park in the driveway next to my car. If you park on the street, note that street cleaning is the 2nd and 4th Mondays on this side of the street and 2nd and 4th Tuesdays across the street. The fine is over $300 for a ticket.
Guests may cancel their Booking until 30 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 30 days and 7 days before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. This loft was so beautiful! It was a great place for our Halloween party. You can tell that Dave really takes care of the place because its ambiance is warm and inviting. Also, the place had a lot of the supplies we needed (bowls for food, wine rack, etc.) and the second level made for a great get-away (the patio was convenient) from the main event downstairs.

Dave was super communicative and answered all of my questions about the space and about his kitchen supplies super fast and completely. I felt very supported in our dinner cooking party thanks to Dave's help. He also provided a little oil and set out everything on the counter that we needed to use. Thank you!!
