We are one block west of Abbot Kinney with 12 parking spots, a conference room, TV room, 3 kitchens, BBQ, huge grassy yard, basketball court, volleyball court, WIFI, lockers, music room, and 32 of our custom built pods. Rent out the conference room (10ft table with 6 chairs and a 40" TV) Rent out the backyard for events, production, meetings etc. Rent out the basketball court for games NOTE: we have sensitive neighbors so we cannot host parties after 10pm!
No ambient noise after 9pm This is a 4600 sq ft building (used to be a church) and the backyard is 3500 sq ft. When other guests of ours are renting the pods or other areas inside, then we can rope off the backyard so they can use a separate entry so not to disturb any Peerspace meetings or shoots. There would not be a scenario where the house would be empty, but that doesn't produce much noise and there are many outlets for you to get inside/outside of the house.
The space was clean, private, and well outfitted with relevant technology for a work style retreat. I was not expecting a ‘hostel’ type situation in the rest of the building, but that had no impact on our private meeting. The venue was well decorated and friendly atmosphere.
Really great place to have a smaller / low budget casting! The conference room is spotless and fully set up. Really laid back and easy going, very kind staff. Really helpful and the backyard space is huge. Plenty of space for holding talent and they're really cool about people coming in and out for a session like that. It's a unique space and you should know that going in - given we initially did not know it was also a hostel / shared living space, so there are other people in and out that actually live there and you can see the bunk beds, or they might be cooking (smelling food), and the bathroom is communal as well. I would definitely recommend this for a small laid back casting, but generally not a client friendly space given these other elements being present.
I enjoyed our time there. The place was a bit dark, we would have enjoyed a bit more light in the room. We also were unaware what type of space this was, we didn't not know it was also a residential building, this was a little bit awkward for us when arriving and using the bathrooms. But it was functional and good.
This is a hotel/hostel. This detail was not in the space description and it must be. I would not have booked this conference room if I had known. I booked the conference room for a company meeting only to walk into a building with bunk beds, the overwhelming smell of sleep, travelers sleeping, a messy communal bathroom, people walking around barefoot. If I had a client meeting, it would have been embarrassing. That said, the conference room was nice and did what we needed, the hostel is nice if thats your thing, but in terms of overall workspace, never again. The host was also very nice, but again, never for a work meeting. Also, the refund language is very confusing so read it carefully.
Host, Elvina, was very responsive and helpful as I was booking very last minute. Conference room was on second floor inside a house that was renovated into a work/live startup incubator. The whole place was clean and the onsite staff was super helpful in getting our laptop hooked up to the wall TV. It’s a little rustic for a sales meeting but was perfect for a staff training session.
This space was great! The staff could not have been nicer, and they were so accommodating. The space is clean, easy to use, and has everything you need. I look forward to using this space again in the future.
