Located in Carroll Gardens, this is a modern industrial space inspired by the building's history and charm of this historic Brooklyn neighborhood. The space is approximately 1200 square feet and dates back to the turn of the century. Features include a 20' high ceiling, exposed steel beams, antique light fixtures, and custom made furniture. It was formerly an iron works welding shop and was recently restored into a private event venue. The high ceilings and custom fabricated steel furniture and windows provide a unique backdrop for baby showers, birthday parties, anniversary parties, dinner parties, and other private events.
All setup and breakdown time needed for events must be included in the total booking charge. There will be additional charges if you use the space for a longer period of time than you have reserved it for. Smoking is not allowed. Glitter is not allowed. Wall-safe tape only. Extremely loud music is not allowed. Renters are expected to be respectful of neighbors and keep reasonable noise levels at all times during the event. There is no outdoor space here. We ask smokers to smoke on the Hamilton Street side and for no-one to congregate on the Luquer Street side during the party so as not to disturb the neighbors. If the space is not left clean, there is a $200 cleaning fee. It doesn't have to be immaculate, but you must at least sweep and wipe down the counters and tables.
Guests may cancel their Booking until 30 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 30 days and 7 days before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. I booked this place for my wedding and it was perfect for my small intimate wedding. I barely needed any decorations because the place had beautiful fairy lights coming from the ceiling and the decor was just nice already. John had great communication with me throughout the whole process. The only reason I am giving this space 4 stars instead of 5 is because when I first came and saw the space I spoke to a woman who was setting up hours before her event and she explained to me that John was nice enough to allow her to set up early since he had no other booking for that morning, with that being said, I asked John for an extra 30 min (he gave me 30 min before booking time to set up so that was nice of him) to set up because my decorator needed more then 30 min and he told me that he couldn’t just give me the 30 min and he had to charge me. I was disappointed and confused as to why he would give someone hours to set up for free but not me. I respected his decision though because it’s his space and paid the extra fee he said he had to charge me for the extra 30 min and enjoyed my wedding day. I would book the place again if need be because it’s a beautiful space.

This is my second time booking with John and it was beyond amazing. I was running a little late but he allowed my family to enter without me to begin setting up. Once we added our decorations, it all came to life. John, as always, is very responsive and made sure I had all that I needed. All of my guests fell in love with the space and I have been encouraging them to book with him in the future. I will be booking again with him next year. The space is too beautiful to give up. The space was absolutely perfect for the event. I hosted a tea party themed bridal shower and 30 guests attended. There was plenty of room for everyone to move around easily. Everyone raved about the venue and asked where I found the space. We had a great time and John was a good host. The place was very clean and a true gem. I would definitely recommend renting the venue and I will have events here again in the future.

This space was absolutely perfect. There was plenty of space, very clean, and nicely decorated. The bar areas and placement of the table and chairs made it very easy to host a party. It is so much easier when everything is set up upon walking in. I am not from the New York City area, but would 100% recommend this space to anybody. Also, Jon was very easy to work with, answered any questions promptly, and all around helpful.

This was an overall wonderful experience. Quick, easy and painless. The space was beautiful with gorgeous handmade furniture and touches of personalized accents (all built by John himself). The esthetics was perfect for my sons graduation party; warm, festive, and immaculate. Everything went off without a hitch from from finding the place to booking the place to dealing with John every step of the way. John was great, he was professional and helpful, kind and flexible with a little extra time to set up and clean up. He was available all night and addressed all of my questions/concerns without any issues at all. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the party was a total success!! I would recommend the space to everyone....or any space that John is booking out for that matter . This experience ensured that I will definitely be using Peerspace again for future events. Thank you
