Located at the edge of Carroll Gardens, this is a modern industrial space inspired by the building's history and charm of this historic Brooklyn neighborhood. The space is 1200 square feet and dates back to the turn of the century and has been used most recently as an iron works welding shop. It was restored into a private event venue in 2016 and the high ceilings and custom fabricated steel furniture and windows provide a unique backdrop. The space can be emptied or rearranged according to your specs.
All setup and breakdown time needed for events must be included in the total booking charge. Smoking is not allowed.
Wonderful experience. We hosted a sweet 16 for our daughter and friends. The space was perfect for 40 teens. John was accommodating every step of the way. WiFi , Alexa, plenty of trash bins.. everyone was pleased.
I really enjoyed using this space for my baby shower. It accommodated my just over 40 guests comfortably, the facilities were clean, kitchen is a bonus. Everything I needed were in the space. All of my guests loved the space and a few inquired about possibly using the venue for their events. John was friendly and helpful. Thank you for providing a lovely space
I was unable to visit this space when booking but I trusted the pictures and John from his prompt response. I couldn't have found the more perfect place for my sons 11th birthday. John was super pleasant and accommodating from the moment I messaged him. This space is stunning, almost every guest asked me how did I find it. It's my second time using peerspace, I would def book this space again in the future. What an amazing party we had. Thanks John!!
This was the perfect space for a brunch after my son’s wedding celebration. There were about 40 of us and it was just lovely. Several people commented on the venue and I would highly recommend booking this if it’s available. Communication with John was great and he was flexible with our times.
I used this space for a baby shower and it was perfect! John was so incredibly helpful and an amazing host. I would definitely recommend this space for an event.
The space is great. We had a successful event. John was a good host overall. However keep in mind that any alteration to the booking time needs to be officially changed through Peerspace. I originally booked 4.5 hours on Peerspace from 7pm-11:30pm. I verbally communicated that our event would start at 7pm and our party end time at 11pm. John generously offers 30 minutes before and after your booked time for setup and clean up. I communicated that we would arrive to set up at 6pm since I needed an hour to set up. Unfortunately I didn't know to change the time on Peerspace, which meant I arrived at the space to set up and the space was closed. I emailed John and he sent someone over immediately to open the space. What was unfortunate was that John was insistent that I had booked the space online for a later time without acknowledging that I had verbally told him otherwise. I understand it's always best practice to make any changes in writing. However, having photographed over 500 events myself I always took verbal requests to the contract and adjusted the contract, plus alerted the client. And in the event that it's straight up a miscommunication on my part, I wouldn't argue with a client 45 minutes before their party is about to start as they are rushing around to set up. John's attitude was defensive and unhelpful in this regard. That being said it is a clean beautiful space- just make sure you are clear in writing through the website about your booking time.
