Thank you for considering using our space. Our space consists of a studio which measures 32x16, as well as a lobby and a separate (optional) conference room. The space is designed as a photography and video studio but provides a wide range of functions. We have hosted conferences, training seminars and company meetings. We are ideally located, close to LAX, the 405 and 105 freeways, a copy shop, Trader Joe's, a gorgeous park and lighted track. There is food across the street and down the block, and a ton of establishments for food, supplies and the beach located all within a mile or two. Our entrance is through a comic book store. It is not store-front, and the space is a bit quirky and fun - perfect for the studio space we have created. The space is owner run and owner used. We have a 2x3 whiteboard and use either of two white walls as projection surfaces for our HD projector. The space has been used for movie screenings as well as the more typical PowerPoint presentation. With our experience and equipment in live production, we regularly use the space for live streaming, well-produced events. Please note, that we do impose longer minimum stays for weekends and holidays; typically not less than 4 hours. These days tend to be in high demand and we tend to make other plans for ourselves. Please inquire of course. THE CONFERENCE ROOM The conference room is an optional add-on. If the room is available, we are happy to rent the conference room as part of your rental for an additional $15/hour. The space is perfect for breaks, a work table, team chats and more. THE PROJECTOR Our projector is ceiling mounted. It is important to mention that the main input is HDMI. If your computer does not have an HDMI port, you must bring an adapter and be familiar with your system. Feel free to come in and test in advance. We have found, particularly with Apple products, that adapters can be rather finicky and brand-dependent, on more than one occasion, allowed for the use of our computer in substitute. Use of our system carries a charge of $35/hour. LIVE STREAMING and VIDEO We are expert at live streaming and audio/video recording services. We can record your event for behind-the-scenes/social media footage, or you can run your production as a training, networking or marketing video interacting with your audience. Our systems allow for live graphics, call-ins, overlays and much more. Let us know if we can be of assistance in this regard. ARRIVAL and DEPARTURE INFORMATION Remember that your booking starts at the start time and ends at the end time. We often have other guests and schedules to manage. Allow sufficient time to arrive, setup and prepare before your production time, and also to allow for completion, breakdown and clean-up. Your rental ends when the room is restored. We charge overtime at the designated rate for time approved in advance, and time-and-a-half for additional time on weekends or situations in which we are required to staff your event. We ask for a certificate of insurance. Other rules are as follows: The space and all contents, equipment and fixtures must be left in the same condition as they were when the space was arrived. In addition, other rules are as follows: 1. No smoking whatsoever is allowed in the space. 2. No intoxication or non-prescription or illegal drugs. 3. Music is to be kept at reasonable levels. 4. No pets allowed without prior consent. 5. Rental time starts at the designated time and ends when the last person in your group walks out of a clean and restored space. Please keep this in mind when planning and making reservations. If you will need extra time to set up or break down, factor this in to your time. 6. This is typically a quiet space, not a sound proof space, and there is a possibility of noise/distraction. 7. Only designated gear will be used. 8. All garbage shall be removed. 9. If there are any other issues, you will contact a designated contact person immediately so that we can work to resolve your issue. We work very hard to satisfy your needs, but are not responsible for issues which are not immediately brought to our attention.
The space is great - really works for what I need: plenty of room, high ceilings and great equipment. Plus Mark is a good guy. This was exactly what we needed - a convenient and simple indoor space for a kid’s birthday party for around 15-20 kids with parents. Last year we were outside and it was too cold in January. But I didn’t want an overpriced pre-packaged thing at one of the chain kids’ gyms or restaurants. I searched and searched for something and this was perfect. So glad I found it. Thanks so much.
This is a clean, well kept space. We shot a science lab scene and this spot was perfect with its sterile white walls. Mark is so chill to work with, very professional with a lot of knowledge about film and sound recording. He has gear to rent too, although we already came with ours. Highly recommend.
Mark is amazing! He went above and beyond to help me setup for my holiday sessions! I really appreciate all his kindness and awesome personality. I will definitely be booking again!
