About the Space
Iconic 1600 square foot loft gallery space, set up for your photo and production needs. 1050 square foot main shooting area with up to 20' ceilings. 650 square upstairs loft shooting area with large make-up/hair/changing area. Includes full kitchen and spacious outdoor patio garden area (garden area not available for shooting, only for waiting/relaxing.) Please be sure you read and understand the rules (especially regarding noise) before booking. Features 10+ unique, built out backgrounds with iconic industrial, dystopian, science fiction and steampunk designs. Also includes a large white wall with morning sunlight through east facing windows. Includes 9" wide White, Green and Black seamless rolls on simple to use motorized, remote controlled roller system. Seamless have a whopping 50' backaway distance and 15' height. Can be used in conjunction with our 400# Aerial hoist (qualified aerialists, suspension and trapeze artists and experienced riggers only, release must be signed to use.) Fully air conditioned/climate controlled. Rental includes 4 C-stands, multiple light duty stands, sandbags and assorted grip equipment. The studio is inside a safe, clean, gated arts complex. Easy access first floor loft with free, safe parking right outside the front door for easy load in. Come make some magic at this amazing location. Lighting rental packages are available: + Strobe lighting package (3 Einstein lights with 2 softboxes, umbrellas, beauty dish and grid modifiers and triggers) rental is $40 per shoot. Additional strobes (non-Einstein) are $10/each. + LED continuous lighting package available for $35/shoot (4 Fovitec LED panels, 2x600, 2x900 bulb) + RGB color LED accent lights (4 x 15w lights, app controlled) $20/shoot

Booked the space for an aerial hoop photoshoot. The aerial hoist and motorized seamless backdrops worked great. The backdrops were just a little too narrow for the widest horizontal poses that the model did, but for the majority of the poses, the set-up worked just fine. Be aware that the studio has a lot of stuff in it; it's all very easily movable on wheels (couches, a conference table, grip cart, a desk), but you will need to take some time arranging the studio for whichever part of the studio you're planning to shoot in. I appreciate all the equipment on hand that comes as part of your rental: C-stands, sandbags, clamps, power cords, and a ladder or step stool. One tip: Google street view is available for the whole route you have to take through the complex to get to the studio, and it's helpful to check that out ahead of time.
