The Old Curtner Estate, in the foothills below Mt. Hamilton and Lick Observatory, was built in the Spanish Revival, old California style of the 1920s. Built in 1926, it boasts multiple brick courtyards, fountains, and gardens. Its 80 year old Japanese Maple is the majestic centerpiece of the main courtyard and the impeccably manicured grounds, designed by Thomas Church in 1939, are beautifully tranquil and overlook the Valley below. Within the garden, there are outdoor (open air) rooms for lounging or hosting smaller, intimate gatherings or corporate meetings. The main lawn can accommodate parties of 120 for dinner and dancing while admiring the breathtaking views. On the property you will also find a 52 tree orchard and chicken coop perfect for horticulture conferences or backyard chicken keeping workshops. This property is truly magical. It's not surprising it has been nicknamed "Hacienda El Encanto."

The host was very accommodating for our event. It was a team building event for our entire office. Luckily the weather was awesome and we were able to take advantage of the outdoor space. The host checked on us throughout the day to see if we needed anything. It was a great experience having this been the first time we have used Peer Space to book an offsite event.
