THE SPACE This is a highly versatile and beautifully designed open studio space with high ceilings and multiple entryways. Automated garage door, raw concrete flooring & high power capabilities make this studio unusually functional and accommodating to your creative ideas. Load equipment with ease, fit a car inside, get dirty and even run water on the floors. Endless possibilities! Originally designed by an artist as a live-work space, it has both clean studio and rustic industrial home elements. Tall white walls divide the loft into the huge main area; smaller "Bedroom" with clothing rack and pallet bed; generous entryway that can be used for various purposes; and bathroom with open walk-in shower. The studio opens floor to ceiling with large doors at both ends. Stylish decor and original artwork allow for effortless set design. All furnishings are easy to re-arrange or remove. LOCATION The studio is next to the scenic LA river bike path in Frogtown, a small up-and-coming creative neighborhood with a lot of character, nestled between Silver Lake and Atwater. The neighborhood is a mix of old residential and new commercial. Neighbors include an architecture studio, screen-printing studio, a really cool looking junk yard, etc. Spoke Bicycle Cafe and Wax Paper, two cafes with great food and beverages, are just steps away. A bit further are an ultra-popular neighborhood restaurant & bar Salazar, and a live music venue & hangout Zebulon.
We ask that you and your guests follow common courtesies and treat the space as you would your own :) We also ask that you respect our neighbors and keep the volume down past 10pm Please be aware that overtime will be billed at 1.5x the hourly rate The space will be assessed for damages after the booking
