THE SPACE This is a highly versatile and beautifully designed open studio space with high ceilings and multiple entryways. Automated garage door, raw concrete flooring & high power capabilities make this studio unusually functional and accommodating to your creative ideas. Load equipment with ease, fit a car inside, get dirty and even run water on the floors. Endless possibilities! Originally designed by an artist as a live-work space, it has both clean studio and rustic industrial home elements. Tall white walls divide the loft into the huge main area; smaller "Bedroom" with clothing rack and pallet bed; generous entryway that can be used for various purposes; and bathroom with open walk-in shower. The studio opens floor to ceiling with large doors at both ends. Stylish decor and original artwork allow for effortless set design. All furnishings are easy to re-arrange or remove. LOCATION The studio is next to the scenic LA river bike path in Frogtown, a small up-and-coming creative neighborhood with a lot of character, nestled between Silver Lake and Atwater. The neighborhood is a mix of old residential and new commercial. Neighbors include an architecture studio, screen-printing studio, a really cool looking junk yard, etc. Spoke Bicycle Cafe and Wax Paper, two cafes with great food and beverages, are just steps away. A bit further are an ultra-popular neighborhood restaurant & bar Salazar, and a live music venue & hangout Zebulon.
