Enhanced COVID-19 Health & Safety Measures

We regularly wipe down and/or UV wand all surfaces, with particular attention to high-touchpoint areas, and have disposable facemasks, gloves, towels, soap and sanitizer available for client use. Please be prepared to perform personal sanitization procedures upon arrival at the Studio. Standard, routine practices include 1) wearing a facemask at all times, 2) washing or sanitizing your hands at regular intervals, 3) refraining from physical contact, and 4) maintaining a 6-foot distance from others as much as possible. Help us help you keep everyone healthy and safe!

Enhanced cleaning measures:

The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from local health authorities
High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected
Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning

All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:

Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.

The following equipment is provided for every guest:

Hand Sanitizer

About the Space

Airy, quiet, natural light studio in Dogpatch, perfect for photo and film shoots and other production-oriented uses. Use of basic grip, covered parking for up to 3 vehicles, and many additional niceties included. Load-in is a snap with our loading dock and freight elevator. Parking description

Our reserved parking is located at the back of the building by 960 Illinois St., in stall #51- look for the large LUX-SF sign on the rear wall. Our tandem parking accommodates up to three vehicles, depending on size. One spot is included with the rental of each studio. Please allocate your spot or spots among your team prior to the day of your shoot. Stall #51 is conveniently located next to the loading dock and freight elevator for loading of all gear, merch, sets, etc., and is ideally located for grip truck or prop van parking. Please note that there are 2 stalls in that area, and we only have the one by the free motorcycle parking, and not the one next to the wall. Free, unlimited street parking is available on Illinois St. between 20th and 22nd Sts., and on many of the surrounding blocks. These spots tend to fill up by 8 AM every day except Sunday. Additional paid parking is available Monday-Saturday for $20/day in the IMPARK lot behind our building at 901 Illinois St.

Lighting description

This studio has 1 full walls of window, for scads of fabulous natural light! It faces west, so the light is indirect and moody in the morning, a direct, warm, and glorious in the afternoon. All windows are equipped with both sheer curtains, to soften and diffuse the light, and also opaque rolling shades, to cut it completely.

Equipment loading description

Our studios are served by 2 loading docks and freight elevators, 1 passenger elevator, and 2 separate sets of stairs. Loading at grade is also available. Please contact us for more information, or to answer any specific questions.

Electrical system description

This studio boasts a total of 120 amps (6x20amps), 24 outlets, 110 volt Edison-plug only. Additional outlets are available as necessary. Circuit breaker located in the studio on the south wall, circuit map available upon request.

General Rules

All booking start and end times are inclusive of set up and clean up time. We ask that you leave the room in a "broom-clean" state, and dispose of catering, presentation materials, or other clutter before checking out. No alcohol or smoking is allowed, registered personal helper animals only.

Production insurance is not required

Furniture and decorations may be moved

Furniture may be moved, but not removed from the space without prior notice. There are no wall decorations.

No smoke machines allowed

Nudity is allowed

Security cameras and recording devices

Recording devices in bathrooms or dressing rooms are prohibited by the Peerspace Services Agreement.
