About the Space
Apartment is 1100 Sq Ft Living Room: 180 Sq Ft Bedroom 1: 90 Sq Ft Bedroom 2: 132 Sq Ft Bedroom 3: 120 Sq Ft 2 Bathrooms: 1 tub, one clear shower Kitchen: Modern with brand new steel appliances, hood stove I'm a Feng Shui based interior designer and sustainable artist and am thrilled to offer my home for creative use and collaboration! It's filled with special pieces I've gathered from around the world, lots of plants and cactus, original artwork, vintage relics, unique furniture and lighting that I've personally made, so it has a pretty distinct artistic vibe. While it's a century old building it's been newly renovated while retaining all the original redwood moulding and pocket doors. There are hardwood floors throughout as well as bright and airy windows that provide light on all sides throughout the day and a beautiful warm afternoon glow. It's on the corner of a wide Blvd with unlimited street parking and has a locked driveway in back if needed. It's a wonderfully diverse family neighborhood filled with friendly people walking around throughout the day, a variety of architecture, and is just 6 blocks from Lake Merritt. It's a 20 minute walk to the Lake Merritt Bart, a 4 min car ride, or a 7 min bus ride. PLEASE NOTE: My maximum number of attendees is 2 and anything over that is $25/hr for each additional person up to 10. This covers wear and tear, which inevitably happens with larger groups.

Johanna was super accommodating and provided us with a good lay of the land and use of the space. A great eclectic mix of décor and furniture and many of the pieces were created by the interior decorator/owner. Our shoot went well and was the perfect amount of space for the two of us, was fairly limited, but full of great light. Larger groups would have some concerns. Parking was free, easy and plentiful. Access was simple and straightforward (upstairs).
