The space is just over 4000 square feet on two levels located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. The top level has 16 foot cealings and the downstairs has 9.5 foot cealings. The space operates as an art gallery and a production studio but can be easily transformed into many things. The space is great for filming. The property is a corner lot with movable walls and can have the look of an art gallery, convenience store, bar, night club, retail space, coffee shop, or anything else the imagination can create. The top floor is flooded with natural light and makes for a fantastic photo studio as well. The owners and operators, artist Zach and Wendy, are very good hosts and accommodate as much as possible. A recent guest who shot a commercial here said "Zach and Wendy exceeded all of my expectations." Another guest who had a pop up art show recently said "I wish I could give the space 10 stars. It's even better in person than in the photos." There is a huge parking lot that could be negotiated to be used for trucks, gear, crew, trailer, etc. only 100 feet from the property. There are also two parking structures less that a block away and parking is free and plentiful after 6. The space is also perfect for corporate parties and events as well as meetings. A recent guest did a presentation for over 70 people downstairs. Other events we have had here are birthday parties, meet and greet parties, wedding receptions, corporate meetings and presentations, pop up art shows, world premiers for film, red carpet events, screenings, fashion shows, and others. It's just a great place to get people together and have fun. Things you get to use for free: Sony hd movie projector, stereo system, 2 Sterno food warmers, microwave, refrigerator, toaster oven, hot plates, one large table on both levels, cheese/meet platters and serving utensils, glass bowls, white background, black background, green background, movable lighting, stage, 1 disco ball, red lights, blue lights, and you are welcome to leave the art up for your event. Note: if there is cleaning or setup and breakdown involved in using the dishes or something breaks there will probably be a fee. We also have lighting and step and repeat with red carpet that can be set up for $35. Note: Everything is negotiable. We want and appreciate your business so don't hesitate to send us a message we very easy going and flexible. Services I have access to: DJ's, Photographers, caterers, musicians, bartenders, and waiters. For many of the events we have personally handled all of the staff which is very convienent for people from out of town.
The doors must remain locked at all times due to the fact that it is a retail type location in DTLA and operates as an art gallery. Client/Renter is responsible for all equipment, facilities, amenities, and the studio itself during their stay. Any loss, damage, or theft of any of the aforementioned properties is the sole responsibility of the Client/Renter, and they will be charged for the amount of replacement/repair immediately. This does not include the natural failure of equipment such as bulbs, batteries, etc., which is our responsibility. Client/Renter is responsible for closure and security of the studio at the end of their session if unaccompanied by a studio representative from the space. If the door is not securely shut, a $50 charge will be made, and the replacement/repair for any loss, damage, or theft as a result of the failure of the Client/Renter to secure the space will be added to that charge. Your booking time includes setup and breakdown and cleaning, so make sure you're out by the time you've booked out for. No use of downstairs recording studio unless previously discussed. Rental time ends when the last person in your group walks out of the studio. If you will need extra time to set up or break down, factor this in to your time. Client/Renter must report damaged or missing equipment immediately. No Smoking in the studio. Projects involved with smoke have to get studio representatives consent. No pets allowed without prior consent of a Studio representative.
Had a great experience with Zach! He is a sweet guy, was easy and fun to work with . They decorated place perfectly for our event and our musicians as well as our audience were very happy with the whole event. Hope working with them again soon !
Zach is everything you want in a host! He's responsive, helpful and accommodating. We had our wedding in Zach's beautiful space and got so many compliments on how everything looked!
The space was absolutely perfect for our surprise birthday party and he was an absolute gem to work with. Consider him a friend now after all of his hard work and dedication to making sure we were happy. This place is better in real in real life than in picture. I love the place and Zack was very kind and helpful . if I can give 10 stars I will and matter fact I will book this place again. I definitely recommend
Corporate event: Swarovski Product Launch / Attendees: 100 First impression was how good the space makes you feel. High ceilings, open space, large windows, tons of light and a downstairs 2nd floor with stage and kitchen. We chose to hold our launch event here because the large paintings had the mood we were looking. Pictures of space appear as advertised. Gallery has movable walls on first level to customize your set up. We set up 4 fashion vignettes and used the stunning art as background which pulled our looks together. We commissioned Zach to do a customized painting for our event as well. Must see pictures! Our event also included a trend presentation. The downstairs space has a mini stage and sound system which made set up easy for us. Extra perk was Zach dj-ing during event. Gallery is lightly furnished with benches, pedestals, midcentury modern coffee table and couch, etc. We also required catering and Zach recommended a professional catering company that served delicious and delectable food, specializing in visual presentation. Chef/owner is familiar with the space and supervised EVERY aspect of the catering, he takes care of everything! Zach is such a gracious host and enthusiastic about making your event a success. He’s goes above and beyond and offers resources. He doesn’t just rent you a space, he builds a relationship which creates a more memorable event experience and I think that’s what Peerspace is all about. Thank you, Zach! -Swarovski Sales West Team
