Collaboraction Studios is located in the Flat Iron Arts Building at Wicker Park’s famous “6 Corners,” one of Chicago’s most popular nightlife destinations. There are over 20 restaurants and bars in walking distance and an enormous variety of retail shops and other amenities. Our building is home to many world-class artists and serves as a mecca of creativity and collaboration within our community. General Information & Guidelines For our Pentagon Theater • Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the building. • Concessions must be operated by an approved Collaboraction staff member or affiliate. • Sale of alcohol of any kind is not permitted. All concessions transactions occur on a suggested donation basis. • Collaboraction is a shared space within a public arts building. While we make every effort to provide secure storage for our renters, Collaboraction is not responsible for lost or stolen goods. • Renters are responsible for removing all possessions at the end of the rental period. Any items left on Collaboraction premises for more than two weeks following departure will become property of Collaboraction. Milwaukee, North, & Damen CTA buses Chicago, IL 60622 Street Parking Valet parking available across the street Facility • 480 square feet of performance space • Max Capacity: 55 • Flexible stadium-style seating • ADA compliant • Freight elevator available upon appointment • Portable bar and box office Features • Basic work lights, general wash for visibility and sound • Theatrical lighting equipment not included, but may be rented at steeply discounted rates from our partners at AV Chicago • Front of House/Concessions operations negotiable Rates Rehearsals/Hour: • Commercial $40; Nonprofit $25 • 4-hour minimum for all rehearsal rentals • Full rent due on first day of rental • 50% deposit due on signing for rehearsal bookings totaling more than 12 hours Performances/Night: • Sun-Weds: Commercial $300; Nonprofit $150 • Thurs-Sat: Commercial $400; Nonprofit $250 • Includes exclusive use of space from 5pm-12am (times are negotiable) • 50% security deposit due at signing; full rent due at beginning of rental period Performances/Week: • Commercial $1,200; Nonprofit $800 • Includes 24/7 access during first rental week for load-in/tech • Remaining rental weeks include four scheduled performances per week. May be evenings or matinees. Additional performances negotiable; fees apply. • 2 weeks’ security deposit due at signing; Weekly rent is due each Monday during run. Special Events & Parties, Daily/Nightly: • Sun-Weds: $550 Commercial, $300 Nonprofit • Thurs-Sat: $400-$800 Commercial, $250-$500 Nonprofit (price dependent on time of booking) • Includes one 8-hr block of time that includes setup and cleanup • $500 security deposit due at signing; full rent due on day of event
No loud music after 11pm. No smoking. Guests must provide additional insurance and valid permits for all vendors. All rentals include setup and teardown time. Please inquire for details about staffing. Trash should be placed in the bins and the host will take care of the rest. Front door must be locked upon departure from the space; please use lock box and key code provided. In order to serve alcohol, a caterer with a valid liquor license is required. No open flames.
Anthony was a great host. He let me check out the location before the event and invited me to show that was happening that day. I was blown away by his hospitality.
This space was EVERYTHING and MORE than I anticipated. Admittedly, at first controlling the master sound and lighting was intimidating, but Taylor made himself soooooo accessible (I called him MORE than 4 times--and each time he was responsive, patient, and thorough). I would DEF book again and recommend others looking to host an event. Thanks Taylor!
