"Situated in Oakland Hills, the classic home is rumored to have been featured in an issue of Architectural Digest in the 30s and boasts an array of charming details including, stained-glass windows, rounded walkways, latched door handles and moments of exposed brick. At 2,200 sq ft, the two-bedroom home’s historic architecture dictates an inviting aesthetic complemented by it's many quirky details." - Anna Kocharian for Domino Magazine Clients will have access to all rooms inside the home, as well as the back patio. The house has wonderful natural light that is pretty consistent throughout the day, as all windows on the first floor are south facing (please note that the window panes in the living room and dining room have been painted white). There will be someone onsite during all photoshoots to manage the space and to be available for walk-throughs before and after the shoot. Wifi log-in information can be provided ahead of time by request. The home is old and has limited electrical outlets, so extension cords may be necessary for video production. Please also note there are some outlets that are two-prong and three-prong convertors will be provided. The home is located in a cul-de-sac, so street parking on the cross street usually isn't an issue (and is free). Clients will also have access to the driveway and the garage for parking and staging purposes when requested.
Clients are welcome to use anything in the house for staging; however, I do ask that everything is put back in it's place. Clients are also responsible for supplying all toiletry needs (toilet paper and soap) as well as any kitchen/meal supplies (paper towels, plates, napkins, trash bags, etc.) for their crew for the entirety of the shoot. You may leave your trash onsite in the appropriate bins outside. Please be respectful of my neighbors by keeping noise disruptions to a minimum, as well as refraining from smoking while onsite.
It was a hectic day, but Kate was very helpful and responsive both leading up to and on the day of our photoshoot. Beautiful space-- it was our second time shooting there!
Kate is a SUPER HOST! We filmed at her home for a commercial shoot and the place was perfect! It was naturally beautifully lit, making it easy to film in and it was easy to load in and out the equipment. Kate was there to help with any needs or questions we had during the shoot. The place is a 10/10. Book the place and I promise you won't be disappointed.
The house was beautifully decorated and had all the furnishings we needed for our shoot! It was easy to check in and out, and Kate was extremely quick to respond to any questions we had. Great experience and gorgeous decor-- we would definitely shoot here again! Thanks for sharing your home with us, Kate!
We had a wonderful time shooting in this home - the space is even more beautiful in person than it is in the photos! Kate was more than kind and accommodating and was really great to work with - very professional and quite the stylist herself! Would love to shoot here again and would definitely recommend.
Kate was a pleasure to work with and very hospitable. Kate was very responsive and helpful on communications. The space was beautiful and worked really well for our photoshoot. The space and Kate's assistance added a ton of value our photoshoot! So thankful!
My team and I had a super tight deadline for a video shoot and were frantically looking for a location with a days notice. Kate responded immediately with open arms. She is an awesome host, super helpful throughout the day making for a smooth stressless shoot. Her space is amazing for video/photo production. A comfortable warm space with tons of natural light. The building is full of character with exposed brick, rounded walkways, and thick planked hardwood floors. It has a super inviting aesthetic, would definitely recommend this space to others in the future.
