Farm tours must have an appointment
Pilar and her husband were awesome hosts: responsive, friendly, and incredibly helpful. She got us some free ice from her neighbors for our event (for 100 people), provided dishes, cutlery and mugs along with tables for about 80 people, coordinated with our caterers, set up a haystack sofa, helped clean and decorate, provided signage and A/V, acted as bartenders, and recommended local vendors that we could use for rentals. They even gave a mini tour of the space to show off the farm animals. Be prepared for a little dust since it's a working farm and we recommend that you rent a porta-potty if you have a large number of guests (we had 100). Our guests loved the venue (especially the kids) and many commented that it was a great space. Our caterers thought the setup was "dope" (in their words). We would absolutely rent this venue again.
Pilar and her partner Rick were extremely accommodating and helpful when booking this space. During setup Rick went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed and stuck around in case there was anything missed. When my party (film crew + cast) finally arrived, Rick was once again welcoming and cognizant of everyones needs. He even gave us a brief (but interesting) story about the farm's history. If I have a need for a space like this in the future, I'll definitely be back.
What a WONDERFUL experience working with Pilar and Rick at their unique venue. Everyone that came to our wedding reception raved about the space! With their help we transformed it into exactly what we imagined for our wedding. The hosts were very accommodating throughout the entire experience, helping us to set up and even supplying us with a lot of helpful items we might otherwise have had to rent. I think this was the first wedding in the space so I can only imagine how future ones will build of what we created for ours. Perfect venue for a creative, do it yourself and budget conscious bride!
