Located in Downtown San Mateo, this brand-new, beautifully designed meeting space above 31st Union is perfect for all your creative needs. This former photography studio is approximately 500 square feet of meeting space is ideal for a photo shoot. The space is light, brightly lit with one half wall of south west facing windows. The space is centrally located on block from CalTrain and the close to the 101 freeway. Parking in the neighborhood is plentiful. Food and beverage service available for an additional fee. Amazing location with superb hosts! Susan and David were extremely hospitable and accommodating the entire time we were filming in the space. The upstairs space is modern, bright, has beautiful furniture, plants, and was perfect for our TV segment since we were able to convert it into a "design" studio setting. We were able to use the pegboards as artboards as well. Thank you Susan and David! You're the best! I hope we can come back soon as a team to enjoy the restaurant :)
This venue was great for my team and my event - a good size for 10-18 people (we had 15), with excellent service and a nice ambiance. The location can't be beat for its proximity to Caltrain, being in a bustling downtown, and being central within the Bay Area. We were able to have a working offsite, head off to another part of downtown for a fun activity, and then back for happy hour and dinner, all within pleasant walking distance. Susan was very easy to communicate with to get everything set up before the event, including catering, and then to get the bill sorted out afterwards even though there was a slight billing error. David was onsite the day of and was very helpful. The food was excellent and everyone raved about the fried chicken sandwiches as Susan predicted. The only thing I would have preferred was a larger TV. They had a projector screen that could have been rolled out but setting up a projector in that room would not have been ideal so we ended up just using the TV. It's a minor thing, so I would not hesitate to book again or recommend to others!
This space is amazing. Completely nailed the ambiance we were going for with our event. The management themselves were extremely accommodating, kind, and helpful, and the entire evening went off without a hitch. There are always so many moving pieces when it comes to events, and Susan and her team made sure everything was taken care of. Very grateful to have found this location. We'll be back!
