With ample space and natural beauty, our architecturally stunning modern treehouse located in the middle of San Francisco is perfect for intimate photoshoots, interviews, and other small-scale productions! The flowing open floor plan, large windows and outdoor decks that make you feel one with the Redwood forest that surrounds you, and unique architecture allow you to create incredibly unique and inspiring productions. The space is an architecturally stunning masterpiece that has been featured in Architecture, Casa, SF Examiner, New Architecture, Sunset Magazine, California, Pan Am Magazine, as well as on the cover of a video game. Originally built in 1986, it has hosted a variety of photoshoots, interviews, and videoshoots that make the most of its unique and stunning features. Features: - Open flowing floor plan with vaulted ceilings, abundant natural light, outdoor deck, and city views - Outdoor deck provides a close connection to nature with inspiring views of downtown San Francisco - Large windows immerse you in the peace and beauty of the redwood forest that surrounds the house - Full Chef’s kitchen with stainless steel appliances and outdoor grill - Open floor plan and lightweight furniture for easy and flexible reconfiguration - High-speed mesh WiFi network throughout the space (each wireless mesh point is supplied by a high-speed ethernet hard-line ensuring fast, reliable connectivity throughout) - Dimmable lighting - Iron / Ironing board upon request - Concierge service to accommodate any possible production need (see below) Space: - 4th floor (entertaining level with chef’s kitchen, eat-in kitchen, dining room, living room, outdoor deck) - 1250 sq ft - More space is available upon request - please inquire separately if interested We work closely together with the Peerspace concierge service to provide you any and all on-site needs including A/V and electronic equipment, catering, coffee service, bartending service, cleaning, security, table and chair rental, production staffing, additional dish- and flatware, or anything else that enhances your event in our space. Please note that the street cannot accommodate moving trucks or large production vans. The space is best suited for intimate and small-scale productions only (eg. equipment can fit in a car or other regular sized vehicle).
ART AND DECOR Please note that the space doubles as a rotating art gallery. As the inventory is constantly changing, the art on the walls may differ from what is shown in the pictures. In addition, the space may be decorated with holiday themed decor around the holidays (Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc). OVERTIME Per Peerspace's policy, overtime will be billed in half-hour increments. The space must be vacated and all items brought into the space must be removed by the end time of your booking reservation. Overtime will be billed in half-hour increments at a rate of 1.5 times our stated hourly rate. CLEANING / DAMAGES Cleaning fee is included in the hourly rate, although guests are expected to leave the space in the same condition as they found it in. Guests must respect the space and we ask/appreciate that guests tidy up after themselves. Guest must remove any equipment or rentals you bring in, and you should factor this setup and teardown time in your booking hours. Please take great care of our space. No nails, screws, staples or penetrating items should be used on our walls. Any tape or gummed backing materials must be properly removed. Damages (walls, floors, furniture, etc) will be billed to the credit card on file with Peerspace. FURNITURE Please notify us in advance if you need to move furniture in the space to suit your event needs. MISCELLANEOUS There is no smoking or drugs allowed in the space. No glitter or confetti can be used. There is no open flame or frying allowed on site or any cooking that will create a large amount of smoke as our facility is not ventilated. Please note that due to the unique design features of the house, which include several small openings in the stairwells and walls, toddlers are not permitted in our home for safety considerations. Please refer to Peerspace’s Terms and Conditions for all other rules.
Guests may cancel their Booking until 30 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 30 days and 7 days before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Cancellations submitted less than 7 days before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more

John's space is truly a modern hideaway right in the city! Even though our group came from Oakland we felt focused and got plenty of team bonding and team visioning completed in this space. His place is also well-stocked with pens and other materials that was helpful to have on the day of the event. As a host, John was extremely responsive and helpful. He provided a thorough handbook that went over everthing we needed to know about the space beforehand. If you're looking for an escape or getaway within the city that encourages collaboration and creativity I highly recommend John's space! I will be booking again in the future!
