Free street parking

There is plenty of street parking around our house. In addition, the Caltrain station is just a 10-minute walk. Anyone who needs to travel to the space location can take the train.

DECORATIONS We are generally OK with decorations to make your event special. We ask that no nails, screws, staples or gummed back materials be used to attach or affix anything to the furniture, walls, or building. Lightweight Scotch Tape or masking tape is OK. Additionally: * No glitter or confetti of any kind is allowed on site. * No sparklers, Roman candles, or fireworks of any kind. * No face painting, hand paints, stains, or other similar activity allowed. INSURANCE Per the Peerspace Social Event Policy, additional event insurance is required and may be obtained through The Event Helper (https://www.theeventhelper.com/). They have a very quick online process and they’re very reasonably priced. Please be sure to list the Host (Mort Jensen) and Peerspace as additional insured. When completed, you will receive a certificate of insurance which we ask that you send to us prior to your event date. NO SMOKING Our space is completely smoke-free. There is no smoking allowed anywhere indoors or outdoors whether in the front or backyard. Additionally, we ask that you do not smoke in front of our neighbor’s yards. CLEANING / DAMAGES While a cleaning fee is included in the hourly rate, all guests are expected to leave the space in the same condition as they found it in. Guests must respect the space and we ask/appreciate that guests tidy up after themselves. Guest must remove any equipment or rentals you bring in, and you should factor this setup and teardown time in your booking hours. TRASH HANDLING At Host's discretion, an additional $100 fee will be applied for excessive trash removal or any remaining mess that could cause injury (such as broken glass). Guests are encouraged to take all trash upon end of booking to avoid this fee. If you must leave trash, you are limited to two (2) large trash bags, one for recyclables and one for waste. We make two large trash cans available in the backyard for this purpose. LOAD-IN TO LOAD-OUT Please coordinate with the host for any and all drop offs and pickups. It is preferred that load-in/load-out occur the day of the booking. However, depending on what is involved, we may be able to accommodate the day before/after. Please contact us regarding this as needed – we’re happy to work with you. OVERTIME Per Peerspace's policy, overtime will be billed in half-hour increments. The space must be vacated and all items brought into the space must be removed by the end time of your booking reservation. Overtime will be billed in half-hour increments using our standard hourly rate. FURNITURE Please notify us in advance if you need to move furniture in the space to suit your event needs. POOL No running on pool deck No diving No glass in or around pool If debris or glass is found in pool, a $195 fee will be applied. There is a pool net on the side of the house for general cleanup. TENANT We have an in-law unit at the back of our property. We ask you to inform guests to not disturb our tenant. MISCELLANEOUS * NO BLOCKING DRIVEWAY – of our property or any neighbor’s property * NO LOITERING – in our yard or any neighbor’s yard before or after the event * No pets are allowed * No underage drinking is allowed * No food trucks associated with your event are allowed * No nudity is allowed * No excessively loud music or noise is allowed after 10:00PM.
