Let your gathering be an unforgettable experience in this unique beachfront meeting space on Orcas Island. Designed in the style of an nineteenth-century Scottish hunting lodge, this distinctive building hosts an 800 sq. ft. meeting room and a fully equipped kitchen. The Lodge was built in 1932 and remains substantially unchanged today, maintaining its period charm with its generous fireplace, vaulted beamed ceiling, deep bay windows, and gracious front porch overlooking our beautiful sand and gravel beach just steps away. These features, along with a dozen beachfront rental cottages, make it an uncommon venue for all kinds of gatherings. The tables and chairs can be arranged for seated meals, or buffet-style food service. Several couches provide relaxed and comfortable seating. Total seating accommodates 25; standing capacity is 50. The generously sized kitchen is great for food preparation or potluck-style service. Large windows let in light and offer views of rustic service buildings and 80-year-old douglas fir trees. Appliances include 2 oven/ranges, full-size fridge, microwave, dishwasher, Keurig machine and regular coffee maker, as well as basic cookware and dishes. Getting here is part of the adventure! Drive your vehicle and take the ferry, fly in a small plane or motor over in a boat. Orcas Island is an hour by ferry from Anacortes, which is about an hour-and-a-half drive from Seattle. Please note: Summer availability is extremely limited due to regular annual summer guests, and the Lodge is typically open only for a few hours on Saturdays mid-June through Labor Day.
No pets. No smoking in the Lodge or on the porch. No loud music or noise that can be heard outside the Lodge, or could disturb other guests staying in the cottages on the property. Depending on the group size and time of year, rental of 2 adjacent cottages may be required with Lodge rental. Summer availability is limited to Saturdays midday only. Alcohol may be served with a meal; no events with bar-type service of alcoholic drinks.
