Instead of offering to bring in fans or something to help, I ended up having to get on a ladder every 30mins to manual press a button on the AC to have some kind of air coming into the space. - The biggest issues was that the though there were signs that business was closed for a couple days, this did not stop the business from running. Their phones were constantly ringing (in the middle of the space), I had to field a furniture delivery, had multiple groups of people demanding to get into the space because they were trying to meet with the owner, and even had someone demand they leave an invoice with me in which I became the go between for this person and Cardenio. Though the host was very responsive which was much appreciated, there was not much help when things were going south.
The space, though beautiful, had a lot of issues and was not fully equipped to host this many people for a multiple day event. I guess I'll list the issues that I had starting at the beginning. - In the space description it states that there is a fully functional kitchen. This is not the case. There is no fridge, a sink with drainage that leads to nowhere, no faucet, no garbage cans, no oven or stove. I was in desperate need of some kind of cooling system for this event as I was providing beverages for 40ppl for an all day event for 4 days straight. Peerspace agreed to get me two coolers and provide ice day of. - Garbage, there were only three very small garbage cans (like less than 1.5' in height) and for an all day event for 40ppl, two meals a day, and tons of beverages, this was just not enough. When asked if they had any other options they gave me large black garbage bags and told me I could tape them to the wall. I did this because it was the only option, but it wasn't a great work around. -The AC broke on the first day, and of course it was some of the hottest days in SF. It was so hot in the space we actually had someone pass out. I immediately reached out to the host and though they were responsive, they came into the space basically saying they couldn't fix it, then had a repair man come the next day to say they needed a part and couldn't fix it.... Review continued on next day's reservation.
