Description: Our truly unique event space in Atwater Village offers a 4,500 sq ft indoor/outdoor space perfect for children’s birthday parties, baby showers and receptions. Monday through Friday we operate as a boutique preschool and feature a large sandbox with play-safe white sand, play structure with swings and a slide, chicken coop and an outdoor atelier/art studio. We offer an intimate yet dramatic landscape that is inviting for people of all ages to celebrate and unwind. Our dynamic outdoor space is suitable for a range of activities, and our in-house design team is available to assist you in tailoring the space to make your event dreams a reality! We have hosted a wide range of events, from pop-up shops to puppet shows, although the space is best-suited for children’s birthday parties which is our true specialty. Tucked into a quiet residential neighborhood in North Atwater Village, the location is easily accessible from DTLA, Glendale, Burbank & Hollywood. There is ample free street parking and front driveway access for easy load-in & load-out. Offerings: For all parties, we charge a set-up fee of $150.00. This fee is for the curation of the space including pallet table set-up and break down, centerpieces and low bohemian style seating with floor cushions/pillows. Seating Tables: 4 low wooden pallet tables Floor Seating: bohemian style floor cushions and layered rugs Table set-up: macrame runners, simple centerpieces-succulents or other greenery in glass vases Food/beverage tables & chairs- 2 six-foot long tables for food/drink set up and an assortment of table linens to choose from + clear table liners, 1 wooden spool table (cocktail height) for dessert/beverage/gift table setup, 8-10 folding chairs Food/beverage amenities: 1 large metal tin for ice/chilled beverages, 1 ice bucket with top and scoop for serving ice, 1 glass beverage dispenser for serving drinks (beer/wine/alcohol is allowed on premises) Waste Disposal: 2 large galvanized steel trash bins w/trash bag liners, 1 large galvanized steel recycle bin with trash bag liner Outdoor Space Amenities: Access to outdoor art studio w/ 2 art tables, 4 art studio chairs, 1 outdoor kid-size round table w/ 4 kid-size white chairs Sandbox & play toys Swingset | outdoor play structure Indoor Space Amenities: Full access to indoor dining area - 1 large wooden dining table & wooden bench seating (comfortably seats 8) Kitchen & kitchen island Living room & indoor seating area (1 sofa with cushions & floor rugs) Ground floor bathroom (soap, toilet paper & hand towels provided) Bose speaker sound system with aux cord FAQ 1) Is there parking? There is plenty of free street parking available. We have a driveway for loading and unloading. 2) Can I bring food from the outside? What about alcohol? Yes, you can! We can even accommodate a food truck parallel to our driveway. 3) What if I have more than 50 guests? We can accommodate up to 100 guests with advance notice. The pricing for more than 50 guests is $200/hr. 4) What does this rental include? Does the venue come decorated as seen in the pictures? No, the full table set up and decor is an additional $150. We offer a free party consultation and accommodate any basic color palette request. You do not have to include this setup time in your booking and we will clear the tables away. Otherwise, guests must plan to bring their own folding table and chairs and include the setup and clean up time in their booking. 5) Can we bring balloons, confetti or pinatas? We are a green, eco-friendly space. We have four chickens and function as a preschool during the week. We, therefore, ask guests to not bring balloons, confetti or pinatas as these items can be choking hazards and are pretty bad for the world at large! The space is quite magical, you won't really be missing the balloons! 6) Do you allow for set up time? Please include set up and clean up time within your booking. The rental begins when you, party associate or vendor enters the space and ends once they leave. 7) What happens if my party runs past the booking hour? You will be charged in 30 minute increments at the hourly rate. 8) What does clean up look like on guests end? It’s really quite simple..place all trash, food, boxes etc. in the trash. 9) Is there WIFI? Yes 10) Can I play music? Yes, we have a bose speaker. Please let us know prior if you plan on having live music. Please note that by law, we must turn down all music at 10 pm.
1. For environmental and health reasons we do not allow balloons, confetti or other disposable plastic decorations that could impact our space..or the world at large. 2. All guests must purchase event insurance. We recommend www.eventhelper.com 3. We are a smoke-free free zone. We will automatically charge a fine of $250 if guests are caught smoking on the premises. 5. Furniture can be lightly rearranged with hosts permission and if put back as found. 6. The driveway if for loading and unloading only. 7. An refundable security deposit is also required which is 20% of your total booking fee. 8. Outside food & beverage is permitted, please clean up before departing the space. 9. All large boxes and recyclables must be taken away, we can only service two large garbage bags of food and waste and one large can of recyclables.
Guests may cancel their Booking until 30 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 30 days and 7 days before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Cancellations submitted less than 7 days before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more

The venue was open to a lot of furniture and Maha and helped with a lot of furniture. There were a lot of rules about trash, but there was plenty the night before. Other than that, they were very sweet and open!

This place is as unique as it is awesome. I booked it after reading the other reviews for my daughter's first birthday party. We went here because it was a better space than our house and also allowed us to bring in our own food and drink, unlike many other commercial venues. If you're having a party with small children, this space is just fantastic. Since it's a preschool during the week, the space is already very kid friendly, fully enclosed, and lets parents have a bit of peace of mind while they also have a good time. I don't know how many people at our party asked us about how we found it. Would def use this venue again and recommend it. Maha was wonderful to deal with and made the whole rental experience really easy.

My mother rented this space for my baby shower and it was absolutely magical. For an additional fee, you can have the venue do all set up and flowers for you, but we opted to do our own decor. You can keep it simple because there is so much greenery to work with. Owner was communicative and kind and I would definitely host another event here.
