Midweek special (Monday - Thursday) > 100 people $1,000.00 Includes: 40 cushioned chairs, 5 round 60" tables, and 3 cocktail tables Building History: By 1912, the bulk of the Joaquin rancho was purchased by James Irvine. He started the Moraga Land Company. It was during this period that the Moraga Company headquarters was established next to what today is The Moraga Shopping Center. The Moraga Company planted many acres of pear and walnut trees, grazed cattle on the hillsides and had many sharecroppers in the Moraga Valley. There were as many as 150 workers at The Moraga Company Ranch. The Portuguese sharecroppers were told what to plant and paid the Moraga Company rent in crops. The Moraga Company also sold land to developers and subdivided land itself. They established the Townsite of Moraga in 1913 and tried unsuccessfully to sell lots there. Originally built in 1914 as a 2,500-square-foot hotel, the building later became a mercantile and library which included the telephone exchange and post office. It gained its permanent name as a 1930’s Prohibition-era bar, when the “n” was added to comply with the State law restricting use of the term “bar”. The building served its purpose for about 63 years up until 1997. Chris Avant of Canyon Construction purchased the building to restore the 100-year-old historical landmark. From using reclaimed lumber from the San Francisco area and granite from Union Square to the 5,000 gallon underground tanks that collect rain water for irrigation, the US Green Building Council certified the space at the LEED Platinum Level which is the highest of five categories creating one of the most unique buildings in the area. In 2015 the backyard was renovated to accommodate future events for the community.
PETS: Lessee shall not keep or permit pets on premises including any dog, cat, bird or any other animal. Service dogs are an exception. ORDINANCES AND STATUTES: Guest shall comply with all statues, ordinances and requirements of all municipal, state and federal authorities now in force or which may hereafter be in force pertaining to the use of the premises. ASSIGNMENT AND SUBLETTING: Guest shall not assign this agreement or sublet any portion of the premises without prior written consent of the Host. INSURANCE: Guest is aware that the insurance coverage carried by the host covers the building and provided amenities ONLY and does not cover any of the contents belonging to guest. Host recommends that guest purchase adequate insurance coverage for personal property/belongings and liability. UTILITIES: Host agrees to pay for all utilities, including, but not limited to, water, sewer, electricity, gas, trash removal, and any other services supplied to premises during guest stay. MAINTENANCE: The use of flammables for cleaning or any other purpose is strictly forbidden. Any damage to the premises caused by burglary, attempted theft or vandalism is the guest's responsibility to the extent guest is negligent in leaving windows or doors unsecured. REPAIRS: All repairs must have the prior approval of host. It is the responsibility of the guest to replace or repair any broken items occurring during their stay, including window breakage and/or screen damage, except as caused by natural disaster. Guest will be responsible for any damage done by rain or wind caused by leaving windows or doors open. Guest specifically assumes full responsibility for all the glass in windows, doors, appliances, mirrors or any other glass provided on the premises. ALTERATIONS: Guest shall not paint, redecorate or make alterations to the premises. Fireworks and sparklers (prohibited by law) are not allowed. Flower petals (real and artificial), birdseed, rice, confetti, small feathers, loose glitter, loose sprinklers, and Mylar balloons may not be used. Umbrellas, tents, heaters, or aisle runners may be used on patio. Items may be attached to the columns or walls using painters tape only. Playdough, clay, glue and paint activities are not allowed. CREDIT: As required by law, you are hereby notified that your performance as a resident of this property may be reported to credit reporting agencies. RULES OF OCCUPANCY POSSESSION: Host shall not be liable for any damages caused by guest unable to take possession of the premise due to weather conditions or road closure due to weather. KEYS: Guest accepts 1 building key. Should keys not be returned the day of vacating the premises, guest agrees to pay any charges incurred to re-key or replace keys as necessary. MISREPRESENTATION: Any material misrepresentation made by the guest, whether intentional or otherwise, may be treated by host, at its sole option, as an act of default hereunder and all remedies available to host in the event of other defaults shall likewise be available to host in such case. In the case of misrepresentation, owner has the right to cancel reservation at his sole discretion up to and including day of arrival, with a full refund of all monies paid. FACILITY PREMISES: Mezzanine and third floor are private with no guest access. A barrier will be put in place prior to event. Children must not be left unattended anywhere on the premises of the facility. QUIET ENJOYMENT: No unit shall be used in such a manner as to interfere with the enjoyment of the neighbors or cause unreasonable noises, nor shall any nuisance or illegal activity be committed or permitted to occur. All music must end at 10pm. Guest is responsible for the action of their guests at all times. ENTRY AND INSPECTION: Host shall have the right to enter premises: (a) in case of emergency; (b) to make necessary or agreed repairs, or supply necessary or agreed services, or to show the premises to prospective or actual buyers, or contractors; (c) Except under (a), entry may be made with at least 24 hours prior notice to guest. COMPUTER/WIFI CONNECTION: A wireless connection is available with password given prior to event. Please note that due to the area location, our internet connection is not always consistent. Guest agrees to take this property in “as-is” condition. All guests shall abide by this agreement and shall be jointly and severally liable hereunder, and any person, whether sub-lessee or lessee, by taking occupancy, shall be deemed to have knowledge of and to consent to, the terms of this agreement. PARKING Guest agrees that 8 parking places will be provided in the parking lot. Handicap parking is available. There is street parking. The parking is for his/her family and any or all guests and invitees to use. Guest is responsible for removal of stains caused by leaking vehicles. Parking shall be limited to automobiles, motorcycles, and pick-up trucks and specifically excludes trailers of any kind, campers, buses, boats, or trucks larger that a one-ton pickup. Owner reserves the right to limit the number of vehicles located at the property. PETS There are absolutely not pets of any kind allowed on the property. If you are caught with a pet you may be fined and charged an extra cleaning fee in order for home to be rid of any pet allergens. Building key can be found in the lockbox on the side of the building. Code will be given prior to event. Please lock all doors and return key into lockbox upon departure.
Guests may cancel their Booking until 7 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 7 days and 24 hours before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price.
