Your Gateway to Hudson Valley History and natural beauty in a Colonial Stone House appointed with comfortable modern conveniences. This 300-year-old house was fully restored with lots of love and attention to the details that keep its historic integrity. The house was built by a cattle farmer with a lot of land. He was quite influential in the region. The barns surrounding the house were built first and later he started to build the stone-house, extending the work over the years. Later on, the house was used as an Inn, before it was converted to a one family home. We restored 3 of the fire-places on the ground floor and installed an energy efficient heating and cooling system (heat pumps) to be as environmentally friendly as possible. We renovated the house with a lot of love and filled it with old original and very modern touches. Behind the house with a panoramic view of the Catskills Range, is our Saltwater swimming pool with a patio and sun-chairs for relaxing, and a fully functioning BBQ gas grill. Guests wander the 6 acres of land, which includes 2 barns. At the far end, Esopus Creek winds through the adjacent nature preserve onto the property. Our comfortably spacious kitchen is filled with modern conveniences including a 6-burner Viking range. The living room has a working fireplace and a " Vico Magistretti for Cassina” leather sofa. A video projector with a pull down screen for your own movie nights. The dining room table sits 16 people for some meetings and festivities on a beautiful maple “Pace”conference table. The sun room’s vintage wood table seats 12. Ceiling fans provide a nice breeze in summer. Please contact us with any questions you might have. We invite you to be restored and inspired in one of the oldest Stone Houses situated in the Hudson Valley at the Gateway to the Catskills. The house can be reached by bus to Kingston (Trailways) , after you can take an Uber 12 min or a local bus on the 209 to get to the house.

What a wonderful space! We had a photo shoot at Konstanze's house yesterday. There were so many different areas of the estate to shoot: -Beautiful, country style kitchen -Elegant, dining room -Study with stone walls and rustic fireplace -Well designed bedrooms -Outside fire pit -Outside the stone house -Outside the barns on the property The property is breathtaking. As a host, Konstanze was great and easy to work with. She made us feel right at home during our shoot and is just a genuinely kind and easy going person. I know my team really appreciated the tea and chocolates! I can't recommend Konstanze's estate highly enough and would definitely book again.
