This is a beautiful open floor plan studio perfect for yoga, workshops, company off-sites, breakout meetings, rehearsal space, pop-up art events, fundraising events, photo shoots, and more! Weekend Hourly Rate: $100/hr Non-profit Rate: $50/hr weekdays, $75/hr weekends THE VENUE: =========================================== - Approx. 2200 sq. ft. - One large room with hardwood floors and two walls of mirrors, beam ceilings = 1700 sq. ft - Full wall of southern exposure windows - One large concrete beam in middle of room - Overhead beams with aerial rigs for TRX, straps, aerial yoga, hanging decorations, etc. - A smaller room filled with mattress pads, pillows, blankets = 250 sq. ft (usually used as movie lounge/meditation area) - A small glass room that usually has a fun light/art installation (150 sq ft.) - perfect for photo ops at your events! - Fast wi-fi - Intercom system to buzz in guests - 2nd floor walkup (no elevator for guests) - Freight elevator for really heavy load-in - must make special arrangements with host to use this - One bathroom INCLUDED AMENITIES: =========================================== - 40 white folding chairs - 4 6ft. long folding tables - Yoga supplies: 18 mats, 10 bolsters, 10 blankets, 20 blocks all available for use - Full-size fridge with freezer, coffee pot, large hot water kettle, and microwave - Projector (low quality for text but good enough for watching video) and sound systems in each room - Speakers w/ bluetooth or AUX connection - All cleaning/bathroom supplies needed - Bathroom has separate toilet/sink areas - Additional storage/changing areas if needed - Some small party lighting - Outside food and drinks allowed **You are responsible for ensuring the space is clean upon returning the venue at the end of your rental. This is a dance/yoga studio, so the floors must be clean for bare feet which often involves mopping, especially when serving food and drinks. I recommend booking 1 hr of cleaning at the end of your event as it is a large space.** THE LOCATION: =========================================== - Located in West SoMA, near Howard and 10th. - Parking: Mon-Sat metered from 9am-6pm; Sun/after 6pm FREE and very easy to find spots - 5 min walk to Van Ness MUNI, 8 min walk to Civic Center BART - Huge variety of coffee shops, restaurants, and bars all within 15 min walk The largest room is about 1700 sq ft. and has beautiful southern exposure windows that let in the morning and afternoon light. Hardwood floors are perfect for yoga, dance, contact improv, and other movement arts. Floor length mirrors cover two of the largest walls in this area. This space is also ideal for workshops and larger events, it can comfortably hold 40 people for yoga, 70 for seated workshops or standing events. I have 40 folding chairs available, as well as foam floor mats and various floor pillows for additional seating. We have 18 yoga mats available for use as well. This room also has a small speaker system to plug in your phone or computer. There is a small desk to use for greeting guests/event sign-ins, but this can be put in storage for your event to leave the space completely open. There is no other furniture in this part of the studio. The smaller rooms are the ZenSpace and the Aquarium. The ZenSpace is approx. 250 sq. ft, and has Hue Lights, a projector and 5.1 sound system (the projector is better suited for video/photos, it is not a high enough resolution for reading lots of text). It is filled with foam pads and pillows making it a great place for a movie night, or to come in and meditate or relax. The “Aquarium" is a smaller 150 sq. ft room with sliding glass doors. The doors slide open to produce a very wide open space, making this perfect for photo shoots. The inside is decorated with hanging christmas lights and umbrellas to make it look like a rainstorm inside, it makes a great backdrop for fun photos! The glass doors do not provide much sound isolation which is why I have staged it as a photo booth/art room. The decorations can be tucked up into the beams if you’d like to use this as an additional smaller breakout room for your event. There is 1 private bathroom (no shower), and a large fridge that can be used to store food and drinks. The ceiling has beams with hard points installed for low-height aerial equipment, aerial yoga, TRX, etc. There is heat but no A/C, usually the temp inside is comfortable as-is.
No smoking. Outside food, alcohol, and pets are allowed, but please make note of these things in your booking so I can arrange for additional cleaning after your rental. Please book any setup/cleaning time needed for your event. I will take care of all cleaning after your event for a flat $200 fee.
It was my first time using the service and my first time hosting something in San Fran. My concern before was with the area, which was fine, albeit very loud at moments. Still the arrangement of seats made it easy to hear everyone who spoke for the most part. The staff person who was there was very friendly and helpful. I was unsure about what to bring v. what would be provided. Luckily, there were a few shops not to far away to buy what we needed. For what we were trying to accomplish, the space worked out nicely.
Because the venue was located close to various public transport methods, as well as on street parking, it was perfect for our needs. We all enjoyed our event and are grateful to Tani for all her assistance.
Tani wasn't there for the reservation but her assistant was and he was just as helpful! He was there to give me the tour and answer any questions I had. The room was beautiful and spacious for my art show, guests even commented on it too. I would rent out again or recommend to a friend!
Tani was so lovely to work with and the space was great! She was very responsive and accommodating, as was her assistant, Nick. The loft had nice natural light and a lot of space and perfect for what we needed it for. I would highly recommend both the Host and Space— thank you!
