Petite, but perfect! Pop-up shop/Pop-up gallery/Small event space, 125 square feet. "White box" with high ceilings and beautiful storefront window on 11th Street between A and B in the heart of Manhattan's exciting East Village. Bathroom available in private art studio work area (not included) in back. We're easy to work with, creative ourselves and community minded.
No Smoking. No Loud Music after 10PM.
Despite corresponding with Joseph the day before the event, nobody came to let us in until I called and it was scramble for several people to find someone to unlock the door and that person kept repeating he didn't know where the lights were and didn't know where the chairs were. there was a lot of stuff like coat racks and a partition which needed to be moved so that people could come in. Our arrival seemed to be forgotten. This is not amazing petit its tiny and inexpensive. The place fit our budget and it worked, but to say that it holds 20 people (thankfully not everyone showed up) is an overstatement. This place holds 12 people who want to stand close together. The price was right, but amazing should not be in the title of the listing. This is a simple, tiny, disorganized space for those on a tight budget.
Very cozy space. We love holding our gatherings here. Love the neighborhood, very nice people often stop to wave at us or shout a hello. The hosts are very kind and very easy to communicate with always.
I was really happy with this space. It was big enough to support a nice intimate crowd. Aside from a complaint about loud music (at 4pm ) everything was great. The owners comminuted great and was easy to set up and break down. Looking forward to hosting another event
