Our private outdoor back garden event space is the perfect place for an intimate gathering, dinner event or get together. We love to host baby showers, bridal showers, as well as product launches, birthday's and wedding receptions. The space comes furnished with 3 gorgeous rustic wood and metal tables and matching benches for seating. We boast a succulent and cactus garden bursting with seasonal texture and lush plant life. There is a service bar area for food, a dessert table and a beverage bar in the space for your use. Come mingle around the fire pit and browse the adjacent retail store. The back garden is strung with just enough market lights to offer a stunning setting for the evenings. This is truly a hidden gem in the heart of Retro Row. We offer ala cart private chef catering, table top decor, plate, napkin, silverware & glass wear rental. We offer specialty additions for your event such as a planting bar for guests, indigo dye workshops, painting events and more that can be added on as a special touch for your quests. We have a blue tooth speaker for your mellow playlist. Just let us know how you like to gather and we can help make your event just what you imagined. The event space rents for $150hr with a 3hr min. We can accommodate 34 guests for a sit down dinner, and 50-65 guests for a buffet style mingle in the outdoor rental area. We also have an additional area adjacent to the event space that is also available for rental and can accommodate an additional 40 people. This adjacent area is The Golden Garden plant nursery and succulent garden this is a functional store during our 11-7 store hours. This area is set to the left side of the space and does not disrupt with your rental area. If it is not rented for your event, the garden store is open to the public. We will place a large sign out that states "area closed for private event" during the shop areas so that you and your guests are not disturbed. Please inquire directly on this additional space should you like to rent. It rents for $150hr with a 3hr min. Most weddings or larger gatherings choose to rent this area as well as it allows more breathing room and mingle area for larger parties and also offers a nice back drop for ceremonies and photos. The rental time starts when anyone or anything from your event arrives and the rental time ends when the last guest exits the building. If you choose to bring in any decor or catering, please build set up and tear down time into your rental time. It is also helpful to send invites or info to your guests stating the end time slightly before the rental time ends. No one likes leave a good event, but you will be charged as per the above...even 1 minute after the end time the cost will begin to accrue. Included in your rental is a blue tooth speakers you can connect your phone or iPad to play tasteful ambient music. No rap, cheesy pop music or hard metal. We like to keep it mellow and tasteful. The music volume will me monitored throughout the event.We do not allow outside live bands or DJ’s. We do have an in house DJ available for $200 for your event should you like. Inquire to book. We do allow acoustic unplugged musicians till 9pm. We offer rental on dish-ware & glasses to lower the environmental waste. Paper or plastic is not allowed in the garden. The cost is $1.50pp and includes clean up and washing. The setting includes plates, silverware, napkin and glass. We have a gorgeous collection that we will curate to match your vibe. We have an in-house chef. An app set up starts at $18pp and a full 3 course meal starts at $28pp depending on meal choice. Bartenders are $150 for the evening. We cannot allow taco carts in the back garden. If you choose to bring in your own caterer, we will need a copy of their license and insurance policy and a permit for the event. We charge a $100 carry in fee for all brought in food or decor. We can also recommend restaurants in the area should you prefer to book your catering directly. Please inquire and we can pass along the names of the restaurants that we can recommend in the area that know our space and have worked with us on events prior. We do not have refrigerators or heating options for outside food brought in. We also offer plant, floral and dried floral decor, with set up & tear down services. Decor starts at $150 for a small package, $200 for a med, and $250 for large. We supply vases, florals, table top runners etc. If you plan to bring your own, again, please allow for that set up in your rental hours. We have a strict NO confetti rule in the garden. The patio is gravel and impossible to clean up any small decorations such as glitter or confetti. Also available... Extra tables & chairs to seat up to 10 addition people-$100 Ice chest rental-$25 Glass drink dispensers-$25 Keg-o-rator rental (CO2 included) -$25 All alcohol is byob for private events. We can help with bar set up and mixers starting at $50 depending on the set up. Our set up would include carry in of beverages, putting ice in cooler and arranging the bar top for your guests. During the event if your bar is a self serve, we will service the bar to make sure it stays filled and neat for your guests. We also have in house bartenders should you prefer a more elevate experience for your gathering. We can custom mix drinks and service as desired should you choose to book our bartender. They are $150 for a 3hr event, plus tips. There is a door in the back garden for fire escape regulations and trash disposal at the end of the event. At NO time can this door be used by the host or the guests of the hosts. Please enter through the front door, load in through the front door, and exit from the front door. If at anytime the back garden door is accessed by you or your guests, we will end the event asap add a $300 fine to the event cost. Do not allow or instruct anyone to enter or exit through this door or park in the private lot adjacent to The Hangout building. I want you and your guests to have the best event possible in our space. These few simple regulations will ensure that! The space is lovely and we have had many, many beautiful events here. Guests may cancel their Booking until 30 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 30 days and 7 days before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. This space worked really well for my event. There are a lot of nice little details that give the space some character, and the layout has been carefully considered, so things flow really easily. Everything was clean and in place when I arrived on the day of the event, so the set up was quick and painless. Melissa checked in throughout the night and was very helpful with re-stocking and clean up. I absolutely recommend this space if you're looking to host a casual event for 30-40 people.

This venue was absolutely beautiful! I had my surprise proposal here and it went beyond my expectations. I had about 60 guests and they all fit comfortably. Melissa is a wonderful host who listened to everything I wanted. She allowed me to use my band (with no amplification) and even participated in surprising my now fiance. I was able to bring my own food and alcohol in and I feel like everything went according to plan. I booked this space for a small “wedding”/ anniversary party. It was so beautiful and Melissa and her team made the night flow without a hitch! The in-house catering was DELICIOUS, bar tender was amazing and the space was incredible. Only things to note- this rental is only for part of the space, to rent the whole outside area is a separate fee. We didn’t know this until after we booked the venue. Not a problem, we just added it on after the fact but it maybe should have been mentioned in the rental description. Also, if your event is during business hours, it is open to the public. Again, wasn’t an issue for us but we didn’t know that until we went to visit in person and asked. Our event was so smooth and incredible. I only wish it didn’t come and go so quickly! Thank you guys for making it so great!
