The space is warm and inviting, providing a beautiful and relaxed gallery setting for many types of events. 1000 sf studio has a 300 sf reception, and two connecting studios, 300 sf each, ADA compliant unisex bathroom, small kitchen counter with small sink, mini fridge, shelving with dishes, utensils, coffee mugs, coffee maker, electric hot water pot, toaster oven. Available seating for up to 28. This includes 20 chairs, 3 upholstered chairs, 2 small love seats seating 2 each comfortably. Floor cushions can also be used if desired. Additional seating can be arranged, up to 40 for an additional fee. Best arrangements are for several small (8-12 per room) groups. If desired, furniture can be consolidated and more individual seating can be arranged in one room to accommodate a larger grouping (see images with example of seating for 22 in reception, in either rows or large circle), or left open to maximize floor space. The rooms have solid wood doors to lessen sound, and there is soundproofing construction in walls, though the rooms are not guaranteed sound proof. Some sound can be heard from the floor above when occupied, though the space is generally quiet during weekdays. Respect for neighboring businesses and upstairs residents is requested. Two long wooden tables (29 1/4" w x 6 1/2', seating 6-8 each), one 45" round table (seating 4-6), and two folding wooden tables 35 1/2" square (seating 4 each if separate, seating 6 if placed side by side) are available for use. Openings/Events in the gallery can accommodate 40-50 people. East End IBIZ District is a thriving historical district on E. 11th St, east of I-35 and the Capitol. There are many restaurants, food trailers, bars, retail shops, parks, an upscale convenience store and other venues in walking distance. There is a boutique hotel across the street and walking distance to downtown Austin, including hotels, and the Capitol.
The studio is used by the owner for private psychotherapy and art making. It is available for rent on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays from 9 am-10 pm and Mondays from 9 am-6 pm. If you would like access to limited art supplies, please arrange ahead of time. Smoking is not allowed. The space is only available for service animals. Furniture can be rearranged within the space during use, but please return as found. Please do not drag the furniture on the floor, particularly in the "blue room". Please treat antique furniture with care , in particular the chaise lounge, and please do not drink beverages that may stain while seated on the upholstered furniture. Art work should remain in place unless arrangements have been made for the owner to store the art elsewhere in advance. Personal items stored in cabinets or on shelving in the studios should not be accessed by anyone renting the space. Please leave the space as found, and remove anything you bring to the studio. If space in the mini-fridge (under the kitchen counter) and/or access to coolers will be required for extra beverages/ice, please arrange in advance. Watch for water or spills, particularly on the laminate wood flooring, cleaning up immediately. The floors above are residential, so please be mindful of noise, particularly beyond normal business hours for larger gatherings. Amplified music is subject to City of Austin noise ordinance. The space is an art gallery. Please be respectful of the art. Inquiries accepted for sales. Should exhibition space be a part of the rental, all exhibited artwork should adhere to the following guidelines: Imagery should be “family friendly”, refraining from depictions of violence, images depicting acts of hatred, or discrimination (religious, sexual orientation, cultural), or profanity. Images should be free of sexually suggestive content. Images should not promote the use of drugs or alcohol, illegal activities or have content deemed for mature audiences only. Breaking terms of exhibition guidelines will result in the lease being terminated and lessee will be fully responsible for payment for the entire previously agreed upon lease. Food is allowed, but is limited as the kitchen is small. Alcohol is permitted with a TABC server for public events. The space is strictly commercial, not residential, and sleeping overnight is not permitted. No wild parties please! While the wifi reception and printer provided are available for use, and generally work well, there may be times where the owner is not able to guarantee these services are working and available at all times during the rental. Technical assistance may be available, but is not guaranteed with the rental agreement. If many things will be printed, you may need to purchase an ink cartridge for your use. During SXSW week the space is available for rent from Thursday, March 14 - Sunday, March 19th for music/arts related smaller events. Inquiries accepted.
