MEETING USE Available Mondays and Tuesdays for corporate and nonprofit meetings from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Room setup will be arranged by the catering partner. AVAILABILITY OMCA is only able to reserve calendar dates within one year of your inquiry. NO PUBLIC EVENTS EVENT RENTAL FACILITY USE GUIDELINES No smoking, candles, confetti, fog machines or sterno inside the cafe. CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL USE OF THE PREMISES Guest understands that in order to enter and use the Premises, that Guest must do so in furtherance of the charitable and educational purposes of OMCA. OMCA’s purpose is to promote understanding of California’s environment, cultural history, and creative expression through exhibits, performances, research and education, and to engage in any other charitable activities. Prior to the Booking, Guest shall coordinate with OMCA to develop a plan for the users of the Premises to connect with this purpose during the Booking, and OMCA shall make available various resources to educate and share this purpose with users of the property. Such resources may include some or all of, but not limited to the following, depending on the nature of the Guest’s event: private access and tours led by OMCA docents and/or other personnel to OMCA exhibits, OMCA or third party educational lecturers presenting on topics related to OMCA’s charitable purpose, educational brochures or similar communications given to users during Booking, etc. If this Agreement permits Guest to use OMCA property once per week or less and Guest is a tax-exempt organization, Guest must provide a copy of its Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) or Franchise Tax Board (“FTB”) tax-exempt letter in advance of the Booking, and if more than once per week, the tax-exempt Guest must also provide a copy of its Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws and a copy of its operating statement and balance sheet for the prior calendar or fiscal year in advance of the Booking. SECURITY OMCA security guards, to the extent deemed necessary by OMCA, will be on duty and present during an event. OMCA reserves the right to require Guest to provide supplemental staff and pay for security measures in excess of those provided by the OMCA in the normal course of business. These additional security measures may include, among other things, hiring additional unarmed security guards and supervisors. Guest should notify Event Services Manager of any VIP's requiring special entry. All security sweeps must be scheduled in advance. PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL Any usage of the OMCA logo must be cleared in advance with OMCA, and cannot be printed or distributed before written approval is given. Your request must be submitted to the Marketing department a minimum of 5 business days in advance of initial graphic production. All final proofs must be submitted for prior written approval by the Marketing department before printing final materials, with a minimum of 2 business days for review and sign off. In using OMCA's logo, the client agrees to adhere to the Museum's logo and brand guidelines in all formats. The Marketing department will share logo and brand guidelines with the client at the time of the logo request. Guest agrees to avoid creating any perception that OMCA endorses the Guest products or services, if any, or the Guest’s event program, mission or business. INSURANCE Guest agrees to obtain a Certificate of Insurance naming the Host Organization as an additional insured on a General Commercial Liability policy in the amount of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 in the aggregate. If Guest is unable to obtain a Certificate of Insurance, Guest will be required to purchase Tenant User Liability Insurance Protection (TULIP) through OMCA. Guest also agrees that it will comply with all provisions of law applicable to Guest with respect to obtaining and maintaining workers’ compensation insurance. Guest acknowledges that the insurance maintained by OMCA for the Property will not insure any of Guest’s equipment or property.
