We are opening our doors to an historic Quaker farm from the 1800s near Mystic, Connecticut. The farm has an enchanting authenticity evidenced by each buildings unique age and wear. The property has a central main farm house, and 8 out-buildings, including the original outhouse, corn crib, chicken coop, small animal barn, hay barn, equipment storage shed, and cow barn-(which is now a woodworking studio). The property has many gorgeous granite stone walls dividing the pastors including a few giant 8'-10' retaining walls made with hand placed granite rocks- (this is one of our favorite parts of the property). We have a small orchard with apple, peach, and pear trees. We also grow a field or two of vegetables and flowers usually spring, summer, and fall. The place is charming due to it's rustic nature- this farm was kept alive for years on pure Yankee Ingenuity- and we are keeping that tradition alive. Note: We see the use of the farm mostly for photo shoots and small meet-ups.
The inside of the main farmhouse is not available because it is our residence. We might be willing to make exceptions by request. No smoking in or around buildings, they are old and made of wood.
