The studio is readily accessible with the R and M Station being 2 long blocks away and the N and W Station is 5 short blocks away. About the same distance for both, in each case a 6 minute walk. Wifi is provided. *What is the standing v. seated capacity? The standing capacity for a stand up event is 175 people. We can set up seating for 100 people. *What types of private events has the space successfully hosted/what is it ideal for? In the past we have had seminars, workshops, a baby shower and a large party for fund raising for new immigrants at this location. *Is outside food & beverage (catering) permitted in the space? You can bring in an outside licensed caterer. We can provide excellent food at a great rate. We have a full kitchen with catering options available. There is a water cooler for your use. A comfortable food serving area is available. The studio is offered as a whole. We do not run multiple groups at the same time. We’re a pro studio without the big attitude – whatever your needs, we will go the extra mile to make your event exceptional. CONDUCT There is absolutely no drug use or smoking of any kind tolerated on premises or within 25 feet of the building entrance including loitering or congregation outside on the sidewalk at any time during the event. Disparaging remarks or any type of physical violence will not be tolerated and will cause immediate expulsion. Renter and guests shall use the premises in a considerate manner at all times. During underage events underage guests should not have in and out privileges. Conduct deemed disorderly at the solediscretion of Lektra staff shall be grounds for immediate expulsion from the premises and conclusion of the rental period. In such cases NO refund of the event costs shall be made. No pets or animals, except service animals are allowed in the building Sale of alcoholic beverages is not permitted unless you have been issued a liquor license.

Guests may cancel their Booking until 7 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 7 days and 24 hours before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Booking cancellations submitted less than 24 hours before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more

This is a fabulous spot, especially if you need a vintage look, there are really amazing sets and tons of furniture and props to play around with. David is really welcoming and a super involved owner. Always there to help if needed. We brought our own lights for a video, though he does have some in house as well. Definitely a rare gem in Astoria.
