Our lounge space is perfect for your wellness, community event, or gathering. This 2,000 square foot warehouse lounge made into a beautiful loft space. Enjoy natural light and amazing sunsets with floor to ceiling windows. The high ceilings, about 12 feet, provides the feeling of an open air environment. Open up the space by moving the furniture and take advantage of the full kitchen for your dinner event or gathering. Or maintain the comfortable lounge feel to enjoy music, company, and casual atmosphere. The space has been used to host musical events, after-wedding parties, Non-Profit events, Wellness events and more. We are happy to work with you to make your event a success! The lounge space has also hosted birthday parties, weddings, baby showers, sweet 16, memorials, cooking events, tv shows, movie sets, and many photography events. We welcome you to convene is our rare expansive NYC space! Our space is most appropriate for family type gathering events. We look for those who are in line with our Wellness, Yoga, and Community environment. The space is complete with: - Full kitchen (minus oven) /// - Cooktop - Tea/ coffee maker - sink/ dishwasher - 2 Counters for catering/ buffet - kitchen storage - stools - Large Lounge: - 2 Sectional Couches (can be removed or moved if necessary) - Custom (large) coffee table - Large farm style table - folding tables and chairs available upon request - 2 Bathrooms Additional Cost: - Use of Projector - Use of Table Cloths - - 1 Break out rooms (upon request) No: - puncturing the walls - use of the yoga/ movement spaces **No - proms or college parties, please!!! - pre-sale ticketed events - Open Bar for ticketed events Additional House Rules: - Age range preferred 25 and up - Under 21 must be accompanied by adults (10 to 1 ratio ideal) - Sweet 16 with Parents only Re: Space: -We now require a SECURITY DEPOSIT to secure the safety of the space and if damages might occur. Security depends on how many people for the event. $200 up to 40 people. $300 up to 60, $500 over 65 people. Rental is for lounge space ONLY. Additional charge for use of other rooms. No smoking anywhere. No pets.
Guests may cancel their Booking until 30 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 30 days and 7 days before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Cancellations submitted less than 7 days before the Event start time are not refundable. Learn more

The space was great for 60 people a DJ, bar and a ton of food. It was a bit on the warm side. Tara was very easy to work with and I would definitely book the space again hands-down

The event space was beautiful, spacious and worked perfectly for our baby shower of 70 guests. There is natural lighting coming in which was great for picture taking. Tara and Tali were the loveliest hosts to work with. Extremely easy to communicate with and very accommodating to what we needed. We were allowed to arrange the furniture around to our liking and were provided extra tables and chairs for our guests. We would definitely have another event here! Thank you!

The place was wonderful and spacious for my event. The only one thing that could be improved on is having any previous bookings remove their garbage so that it doesn't become confusing on who left their bags of garbage.

The space is beautiful and worked perfect for our baby shower. Communicating with Tara was easy and she was helpful with questions I had and also with helping to rent chairs we needed. All our guests complimented the space. The only challenge was that there is one air conditioning unit and due to it being close to 100 degrees out it was not as cool as we would have liked. Nevertheless, our event was a success. The fans worked as well. The would recommend Tara and her space.

Great space and easy communication with the host. We rented for my daughter's 1st birthday party. The space is large enough for kids to run around, but comfortable enough for grandparents to lounge in. The daytime natural light is great. The full kitchen was a great perk (just note there is no full size refrigerator, but the team helped me clear out the small mini fridge to store my cake). There is also an excellent sound system. I hosted a book launch party at the Gowanus Event Lounge and the event was a huge success. The space is exactly as advertised and was perfect for hosting a cocktail party. We had lots of compliments from the guest about the space. Tara was a pleasure to work with. She was responsive to all our questions and provided clear instructions and guidelines throughout. I would gladly book again.
