Our very large apartment is nestled inside a 1909 stone and brick sub divided mansion located in the heart of Mount Airy. Tall trees line our streets providing a magical feeling to the neighborhood. With high ceilings, comfortable furnishings, mahogany doors, and huge windows overlooking mature trees and gardens we are sure you will become enchanted by the beauty and tranquility of our home. When walking into our home through the foyer you will be greeted by a winding staircase, chandeliers, and a baby grand piano. Our spacious apartment is located on the ground floor has sliding pocket doors when open create a refreshing flowing vibe. The spacious dinning room and common area is furnished with a large oval dining table in front of the living room fireplace (works) and a plush round couch in the window bay. Our kitchen is large and fully stocked with everything you would need to adequately prepare a large meals. (In addition there are 3 other stoves, 4 other ovens, and 2 other refrigerators available in basement for catering purposes.) There are 5 bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Our home sits on almost 2 acres of land. Our back yard is filled with flowering bushes and tall mature trees. There is a large lawn perfect for gatherings and games. Near us is the first bird sanctuary of Philadelphia (Carpenter’s Woods). It is a stone's throw away and home to many of the birds that fill our early mornings with their songs and chatter. A little further down our street is an entrance into the Wissahickon Valley Park with over 500 hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian trails. The heavily wooded area presents a dramatic landscape that winds its way along the Wissahickon Creek with breathtaking views. Mount Airy Village is also conveniently located just a few blocks away. The village features a community owned food co-op (Weavers Way) that provides high end foods and local produce. There is also a small cafe (High Point) that serves coffee, crepes, and an assortment of delicious baked goods next to a few other unique storefronts. Traveling from Center City is easy. We are a convenient 20-30 minute drive without heavy traffic. We are also a quick walk from the train line and the bus line. There is free and ample street parking available all the time.
