Our creative space in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago is blocks away from White Sox, Guaranteed Rate Field. This freshly renovated 900 square feet bohemian storefront studio is an ideal location for private events or creative showcases. Located at 3641 S Morgan Street, the space currently hosts an appointment only showroom for design companies, Metal Magic Interiors and Norman Leigh Designs. There is also a yard with a garden, fire-pit, and seating for outdoor activities. The brick and frame building was built in 1896 hosting a saloon until the 1990's. The space has been renovated and includes exposed brick walls, large West facing storefront windows, and a restored tin ceiling. Design elements from above tenants, such as steel and reclaimed wood tables, benches, and desks, are displayed throughout the building. For client ease the space includes a wet bar with wine fridge and a full refrigerator in the back space. Please respect our space and neighbors. Quiet hours for all rentals begin at 10pm on weekdays and 11pm for weekends. Outdoor noise hours are noted below. No loitering in front of adjacent buildings. OVERTIME Per Peerspace's policy, overtime will be billed in half-hour increments. Early access and late departures are considered in overage fees. The space must be vacated and all items brought into the space must be removed by the end time of your booking reservation. Overtime will be billed in half-hour increments at a rate of 1.5 times our stated hourly rate. CLEANING / DAMAGES Cleaning fee is included in the hourly rate, although guests are expected to leave the space in the same condition as they found it in. Guests must respect the space and we ask/appreciate that guests tidy up after themselves. Guest must remove any equipment or rentals you bring in, and you should factor this setup and teardown time in your booking hours. Please take great care of our space. No nails, screws, staples or penetrating items should be used on our walls. No glitter and no balloons. Both cause excess cleaning. Damages (walls, floors, furniture, etc) will be billed to the credit card on file with Peerspace. No smoking. **there is a $100 fine for use of glitter and launching of balloons** - Beginning August 1st, 2019 there will be a $50 cleaning fee added to all rentals. FURNITURE Please notify us in advance if you need to move furniture in the space to suit your event needs. Depending on the type of furniture there may be a fee to remove. Removal of all furniture, art, and decor items is subject to a flat $200 fee. OUTDOOR SPACE Please be courteous of our neighbors with music and noise levels. All outdoor activities must stop at 9pm on week days and 10pm on weekends. Fire pit: Please keep fires contained to manageable size. Do not burn any trash. When finished, please make sure fire is fully smothered. AV Audio and bass levels must be respectable for adjacent buildings. Please provide detailed information about technical equipment you plan to bring or any needs, including input methods, and source material, so we can best accommodate. ALCOHOL BYOB is allowed if nobody under 21 is in attendance and no hard liquor is served. Hard liquor may only be served by those with a liquor license. MISCELLANEOUS There is no smoking allowed in the space. No balloons. Hosts are not responsible for any left items. **there is a $100 fine for use of glitter or launching of balloons** *We are otherwise flexible and understand that issues arise and will work with our guests to obtain the best outcome. Guests may cancel their Booking until 30 days before the event start time and will receive a full refund (including all Fees) of their Booking Price. Guests may cancel their Booking between 30 days and 7 days before the event start time and receive a 50% refund (excluding Fees) of their Booking Price. Using Peerspace makes finding a venue for celebrations convenient, and it also takes the stress out of trying to search the internet for a venues. Our only suggestion is that when you find a space, quickly book it. Some spaces book really fast and make you read carefully. We were lucky to find a hidden gem. The space was clean, and we were allowed to move and remove furniture to our liking. The space had ample street parking, which was a plus for guests. Our host Emily and her support team Taylor and Jeff were great to work with. They were always available to assist when needed. My husband and I had the opportunity to go see the space several times as we planned for for his 60th birthday party.
