Hi! My name is Laurie. I'm a full-time artist in DTLA and this is my professional art studio :) I enjoy seeing my work interacted with and I'm open to cross-collaborations. Through peerspace, my work has been featured in TV series, music video, high-end fashion shoots, and creative collaborations. While the studio is always changing, it keeps a consistent feel. I recommend scouting the space before your shoot to know *exactly* what it will look like for your date. I'm always working on new work and projects. You are welcome to use whatever content you create here -- my only request is that credit for my work is given when used. Also, if you are interested in any of the artwork, please don't hesitate to ask ;) chances are, it's available for sale :) _________ A charming professional artist studio with great natural light and open space. Buildings, train tracks, industry. It's very close to downtown and the arts district. Brick building with a lot of graffiti - recently remodeled very nice interior space. ** The loft is in the back of the building, neighboring a scrap metal yard. If you need *complete* silence, this may not be the space for you. The scrap yard does not operate on weekends. During the week it keeps a consistent low-buzz with an occasional louder amount of noise. It can be random. The noise never bothers or effects me, however, and I work in the studio daily. Laurie is the best. She helped us set up the space as we needed it before we even got there. She was very quick with her responses and helpful on set. The space itself is beautiful. Laurie is a talented artist. Would definitely recommend filming here.
Laurie's space was AMAZING! I shot a music video here with several guests and the space was very roomy, the decor set the tone, and Laurie's energy helped things go off without a hitch. I would book this space again in a heartbeat. Not to mention, there was plenty of parking. That alone is huge, haha!
LOVED my experience today at Laurie’s Art Studio today. Was pretty easy to find, parking wasn’t bad. Laurie was extremely communicative and helpful throughout my photoshoot and she allowed us to photograph with her work! Highly recommend this space - gives you a creative vibe which is always a plus. Thanks again :)
Laurie was a doll and has a BEAUTIFUL studio space. Unfortunately for me I was looking for a quiet spot to do a job interview, and the apartments are next to a scrap metal yard. It wasn’t unbearable by any means (nothing that a little music or a noise machine couldn’t fix) but not the best if you’re looking for silence. That being said, a great space!
