Host your next fundraiser, birthday party, wedding rehearsal, cocktail party, corporate retreat, or photo shoot in a hip, charming storefront gallery on Milwaukee Avenue. We offer a versatile 1600 square foot art gallery. There are two smaller gallery areas and a spacious main floor all under a soaring 16 foot ceiling (total 1100 square feet). There is also a 500 square foot reception area/kitchen adjacent to the gallery. The location could not be more convenient, a block off the Augusta exit of 90/94 on Milwaukee Avenue, two blocks from the Division Blue Line station and walking distance from hip Wicker Park and the bourgeoning gallery district in West Town. The space is a charming former hotel lobby in a 125 year old flat iron building with terrazzo floors and original iron columns. Capacity is 75 standing, 50 seated. We offer 50 chairs and enough tables to seat them, including a 12 foot cherry wood table. A projector and a PA system are available. The kitchen is available for prep use, re-heating, and clean up and includes a three basin sink. Catering options are available. There is one bathroom. Contemporary artwork by emerging Chicago talent adds an impressionable conversation starter, though many weekend dates, including most of the summer, the walls are empty and free to use.
Smoking indoors is not permitted. Outside food and alcohol are permitted. Guests must provide additional insurance and valid permits for all vendors. All rentals include set up and teardown time. Please inquire for details about staffing.
The place is amazing! Eric was easy to get a hold of if I got any questions. It a good space for a art gallery and a small event. The place seem like you are at home.
This venue was excellent for the purposes of our event. The host was highly responsive, accommodating, and flexible. The space appeared as advertised in the photos and everything went according to plan. We ran a party that showcased virtual reality and art. We really liked Eric's space because, unlike giant open space, there are many "nooks and crannies" and little special spaces within the event space where people could wander around and meet new people and try new activities. I would definitely throw another event here.
Eric was absolutely awesome. He responded to any questions pretty quickly. Was eager to help in any way I needed. Very welcoming to my guest and I during my event. I would definitely be interested in using the space again.
