The Marin Subud Center is a peaceful, private and spacious place for ongoing classes or retreats, perfect for yoga or dance, meditation or movement. We are in a quiet residential neighborhood next to large open space in San Anselmo (Sorich Ranch Park). Deer, hares, foxes, raccoon, and a variety of birds frequent from adjoining hiking trails. Main Hall This is a large, well lit space with high ceilings and beautiful hardwood floors. It is a shoes-off space. Approx. 2200 square feet. It has access to the kitchen, bathrooms, wheelchair ramp, and the smaller hall. Small Hall Our second hall is an L-shaped carpeted space, about 600 sq. feet. This is also a shoes-off space and has access to the kitchen, bathrooms, and the main hall. Kitchen Preparation and serving kitchen has a gas oven and stove, commercial sink, refrigerator, ceramic dishes, utensils, table, microwave, toaster oven, coffee makers, and hot water urns. Access is through either hall as well as outside. Outdoor Areas The courtyard near the kitchen door has a shaded sitting area surrounded by olive, sycamore, and oak trees. Behind that is a picnic/barbecue space with outdoor seating. There is a stairway to the upper parking lot and nature trails. Surrounding the property is a fire-road leading toward Sorich Ranch Park. Parking Off-street parking only, with capacity for approx. 30 cars.

The space itself was nice and well suited for what we needed (a hall for a wedding reception). It was large, clean and had nice lighting. If you’re having an event that requires lots of materials (tables, chairs, plates, speakers, etc..) I would recommend working with a party rental supplier directly rather than going through their volunteer network. We had a great time and would book again.

Just had my event here on August 4th to bring in my 30th birthday. My experience not only with the Venue but with Alicia was more than I can ask for. The location met all my needs, I was looking for a nice area, with good parking and shade, nice outside seating and good size kitchen, bathrooms and extra room. This venue met all those needs and offers way more, close to a shopping center also big plus, easy to run to store for last min things. The outside has lights on trees and out on floor, really pretty outside. Alicia was amazing to work with, it was my first time booking a venue, and she help me through the process and also help meet all my needs.
