CATERING • Venue does not offer in-house catering. If catering or food services are required, client must independently arrange for catering or food services. • Venue reserves the right to limit catering options based on number of attendees, the extent of set-up for Client’s event, and/or other factors determined by Venue. USE OF VENUE • Venue provides event space only and any additional equipment, transportation, and/or decorations are the responsibility of the Client. Decorations involving nails, tacks, adhesive tape, or any other form of attachment that may damage or disfigure surfaces are not permitted. • Arrangements for all deliveries, including caterers, rentals, and other specialties, are the responsibility of the Client, and must coordinate with Venue on all delivery arrangements and times. • Venue will provide (12) 6’x 30” rectangular tables and (32) conference chairs at no extra charge. • Venue staff will set up room based on specific arrangement preferred by client. Client must finalize preferred arrangement no later than 24 hours prior to event start-time. Furniture may be altered within the room by client during event. • Client is permitted to operate AV equipment built into the space, however, Venue will provide AV support on-site as available and required. • Event and access time must be confirmed with the Special Events Coordinator at least two-weeks prior to the event. Venue reserves the right to set the hours of the event if Client fails to do so by the two week deadline. • Venue will provide one security guard or front desk attendant for the event at the event entrance(s). Should the event require additional security, additional fees may apply. Should the event require a strict enforcement of the guest list, Client is responsible for arranging a person(s) to perform this service to ensure only invited guests are admitted. RESTRICTIONS • Amplified sound in the venue is permitted at a level no greater than 85 decibels (dB). • No smoking is allowed inside the building. • Open flame candles are not permitted. • Invitations, programs, or any other advertising or description of the event should not indicate that Venue is a sponsor or is in any way affiliated with the event, except in location. • If alcohol is being served at an event, Client must also provide evidence that their caterer maintains a license that authorizes them to serve alcohol in the District of Columbia. In the instance that the caterer does not have such a license, the Client will be responsible for obtaining a temporary license through the Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration. This should be provided to the Institution by the Client 30 days prior to the event
