Certificate of Insurance showing coverage of $1M is required, with the venue listed as an additional insured. All events are required to have a minimum of 2 security guards except for corporate/non-profit meetings weekdays 8am until 5pm. For private events, alcohol may be served. For public special events, you will need to get a special event permit from the city of Oakland as well as a day of ABC license if you are not using an established beverage catering company. All rentals include setup and teardown time. Saturday rentals have a 10 hour minimum.
