About the Space

Down the back alleys of SOMA, this hidden gem will inspire you in so many ways. Once a factory alongside the train tracks, this restored warehouse now houses 9 colorful shipping containers. If > 100 people, visit https://www.peerspace.com/pages/listings/5b3337b122c3580c003a7987 The 10,000+ square foot space can accommodate up to 300 people and comprises of: - Lobby & Lounge - The Hall - Kitchen Lab (not included - book as event space for inclusion) - Art Installations - One vintage 13' camper trailer - One yellow mini food truck scooter Great for corporate events, workshops, expos, conventions, festivals, galas, pop-up dinners, photo and video shoots, product launches and demos. Located in the heart of SOMA, just minutes from AT&T Ballpark, Moscone Center, and Caltrain Station. Our space is inspired by the concept of ‘color-blocking’, the process of taking opposite colors and pairing them together to make interesting and complementary color combinations. We see our space -- complete with colorful shipping containers -- as a blank canvas to design experiences that bring people together from diverse walks of life. This venue is an interactive experience designed to celebrate the art of craft. We invite you to craft your own experience as you explore our color blocking inspired playground. Serving alcohol must come with appropriate serving license. Caterers will need to supply a COI and Vendor Access form. All trash must be removed from premise on own (by caterer). 1 hour before and after event is complimentary for set up and tear down (with minimum 8 hour booking), any additional large scale set up + installation will need to be discussed. There is no smoking allowed in the space. No glitter or confetti can be used. There is no open flame or frying allowed on site or any cooking that will create a large amount of smoke as our facility is not ventilated. However, the pantry for catering prep has several power outlets on separate circuit breakers so full scale catering is possible.

Sales Enablement

Yes, I would book again.

Great space. Have to set everything up yourself and AV tech is not included but they provided a few directions that did the trick.

No, I would not book again.

This is a very cool space and our attendees really loved it. We ran a mixed reality hackathon here. At times the wifi was slow, however we were connect many devices at a time which likely affected it. For the price, I would have expected more event support staff. At the current price, I would not be able to book again because it's so expensive to book the venue, rent furniture, pay security, etc. I didn't have enough budget for an AV person, but our onsite porter was able to fill in and help us out with that. Thankfully the projector and microphone were easy to use!

Colorbloq was a unique and fresh space! The venue owner Alex, is great to work with. Easy going and open to seeing his space used in different ways. I loved working with their team and am looking forward to the next event that I get to plan in their space!

Yes, I would book again.

Alex was an extremely gracious and responsive host. He gave us access to space beforehand for site tours with our AV and security teams. He was a delight to work with. Colorbloq is an amazing space simply as it is. The large colored containers and existing decoration are fresh and whimsical. Alex gave us a lot of freedom to make our event an over the top celebration for our company. We added arcade games, a photo booth and even a dunk Tank outside. I liked that Colorbloq is a new event venue. No one had seen it before so that added a "surprise" element to our party. You enter down an alley and the space is revealed to the party goers. It makes for a very cool event.

Yes, I would book again.

I came across this absolute gem in a last minute search for a venue for a unique, day-long corporate event. I was a bit nervous because the listing said the venue would be opening for the first time on the day of our event, however after talking with Dennis he assured me all construction would be completed on time. Dennis and team really moved mountains to get everything completed and accommodate our event, and the space was PERFECT by the time our event came around. All along the way Dennis and team were super professional and responsive to our requests and inquiries. The space itself is absolutely amazing — it’s super fun and customizable, and has a lot of really great amenities. Also very conveniently located in downtown SF. Throughout the day we had over 250 attendees in and out of the space, doing presentations and hanging out with each other. Many attendees absolutely LOVED using the trailers scattered throughout the venue (they’re furnished, including power), and we set up breakout session areas in the shipping containers. The venue really made an impression on attendees — in addition to them really enjoying the space I was constantly asked for more details on it & how to book, I overheard several people talking about how it was one of the most unique and fun places for a large event they’d seen in SF. We also had a food-truck pull up to the venue (private parking in back so plenty of room) and that was a great hit, too. The pictures and description of the space are
