About the Space
The studio is a beautiful and serene 2 story space in a 2200 sq. ft. (1100 per floor) new construction in a community called Artisan Cove in Richmond (East Bay). First floor: the main studio space (all white with concrete floors, high ceilings, bathroom, floor to ceiling windows on each end, garage-style electronic door for easy loading/unloading, an indoor swing, moving walls, mounted seamless paper setup, and an upstairs with another shooting space (wood floors, high/large windows, a dancing pole, a kitchen, another bathroom, skylights, lots of space and light). There are high ceilings on both floors. We also have a fenced-in yard with an inflatable hot tub and reserved parking spaces in front of the unit. We get sunrise on one side of the unit and sunset on the other, making for a bright and vibrant space even when it's cloudy. The first floor is handicap accessible. Available photography equipment: • Profoto Acute 2R light kit (3 heads and power pack) • 2 movable walls (one side white, one side a light and bright teal) • 3 mounted seamless rolls (currently white, grey, and pink) • 7' parabolic umbrella with diffuser • Beauty dish • 3' umbrellas (some shoot through, some reflective, 6 total) • 3 C stands • 4 sturdy light stands • Sand bags • 2 reflectors • Blackout curtains We're two blocks from the Richmond Marina and Yacht Club, as well as the Richmond ferry station with service to SF. The Richmond bridge is a 5 minute drive away for convenient access to Marin. Also within two blocks is a yoga studio, a coffee shop, restaurants, and more. It's right off the Harbour Way exit of 580, 10 minute drive to Berkeley, and 5 minute drive to BART. The environment is safe and quiet. My vision is to create a positive, warm, friendly, fun, and creative space where people feel comfortable to be expressive. The space is great for photo and video shoots, workshops and events with up to 30 attendees. Contact me with any questions you may have. Lovely space, was able to get my footage needed. I did go over time about an hour and 15 and payed a 90min difference, which must have included the 15min I sat in my car waiting for my phone to charge. Unfortunately the owner made my staff uncomfortable with semi hovering attitude even after accepting a free meal from my caterer. Whatever plans the owner had made for after the rented time seemed to be time pressing and leaving her on edge towards the end of booking time as she hovered in parking lot as well, letting it be known she couldn’t pull off until I did. Although I was just waiting for my phone to boot up. Will not be booking again which is a shame because the space is definitely gorgeous and versatile.
