Ideal for intimate weddings, bridal teas, and couples' showers, the "5 Points Tea Room" is located in one of Birmingham's most beautiful historic neighborhoods and can comfortably accommodate wedding parties of 25-50 people and seated dinners of 16-20 in the formal dining room. This circa 1913 Craftsmen-style bungalow has been fully renovated inside & out and features fantastic flow from front to back, a gourmet kitchen, ample indoor space for food & beverage stations, and fenced-in front and back yards. Outdoor areas include a spacious covered front porch and multi-tiered back deck with custom-built seating. Bride & Groom dressing rooms are also available onsite. Rental costs are $100 per hour with a 5-hour minimum. Additionally, we offer events flexible planning packages that include coordinating rehearsal dinners, cocktail receptions, and after-ceremony catering, wedding cakes, floral design, themed propping/staging, and more. Costs are $75 per hour with a "not-to-exceed" quote & agreement based on need and deliverables.
5 Points Tea Room House Rules: * The venue is located in a residential neighborhood and subject to city noise ordinances, i.e., "quiet time" begins at 11 p.m. and amplified or live music cannot be "clearly audible" for more than 50 feet across the property line of the home's 6,000-sq.-ft. lot. * Parking onsite is curbside/street parking. * Alcohol is BYOB, however corkage fees by case or by bottle must be negotiated and paid prior to the event. * No smoking is allowed except in designated outside areas, and will be strictly enforced. * Outside events planning, catering, etc. are allowed, but details must be submitted to host at time of booking or at least 72 hours prior to event. * The use of candles, incense, mosquito coils or any other fire or heat producing item is allowed only with pre-approval from the host. * Commons areas, dressing rooms & entertaining/staging areas are expected to be returned to the same condition in which guests first found them.
