Off the 101 at Santa Monica Blvd. & Western Ave. Large Theatre Space for Dance, Music, Improv/Comedy, Classes, Cabaret, Readings, Film/Photo Shoots, Screenings, Meetings, Parties, & more... Space includes: On-site Monitor with every booking, 99 Stadium Seats, Nice-sized lobby w/Bar & Box Office, Large Dressing Room with Backstage Restroom, Large stage area, & Street Parking with option for paid parking after 6PM on weekdays or anytime on weekends. Dimensions listed in photos. For a list of paid amenities, please visit the “Add-ons” section. We have a large selection of furniture, set pieces, and props available to rent. Please inquire within. Please note the following: The Jaxx Theatre is often in production, so you may need to be flexible with a "hot set"in place. Please be sure to book our Lighting Technician if your rental requires bringing in your own lights or refocusing ours. All designs include one theatrical look of your choosing, but if you need more than that a minimum one hour "check in" and one hour "check out" is required. If your load in requires a truck and parking spots directly in front of the theatre, please be sure to arrange with the city at least two weeks in advance by blocking the meters to ensure the smoothest load in process for you and your team. *Prices subject to change without notice. This space is super sweet and priced really well! Responsiveness was so great, although I was never allowed to talk on the phone with the venue host, so our texting was incessant. The people that worked at the venue were so amazing -- Emily was INCREDIBLE (like she was SO helpful) and their sound and lighting guy were great. However... The day of our show was very difficult. Firstly, the venue was an absolute mess. Bathroom was disgusting. My team had to sweep and clean everything, and there still wasn't even a dustpan (so we had to improvise) There were nails and trash all about the seats and stage. The venue was also double booked, which I totally understand that there's another space below, but it was difficult that we had 120 people coming to my show, and then a filming crew was setting up downstairs. I was never aware of this. The projector was very finicky and stopped playing mid-show twice. I had designed a whole immersive element for the show and it completely ruined the projector experience for the audience. Leading up to the show it was very difficult to get in touch with their sound person. And when we got to the venue, there was alot of confusion about where supplies was, what sound stuff we could use, and what was needed in order for the show. Overall, the show went great. But I was disappointed with the communication, the projector, the cleanliness, and the double booked situation. Again, all the people I met were so so amazing.
