About the Space
The main room of the space has huge 24' ceilings and a 50' gallery surrounding a stage in the center, so is perfect for concerts, readings, screenings and talks. The acoustics are stunning as to be expected in a converted church space, and the decor is packed with character and age, lending itself perfectly to showcasing the arts. The structure of the building, the artefacts throughout and the great natural light make for an ideal film and music video location. Very visually intriguing and with an expansive open plan layout, there is plenty of room for equipment and crew, spacial versatility for a range of shots, and something interesting whichever way you look. There is ample seating and space for up to 35 guests to stand and mingle, but more seating can be arranged if needed. For all bookings, there will also be a $1200 cleaning fee. This fee covers the cost of both cleaning and security. This does not include re-arranging of furniture or decor, which is available for additional cost. Situated in beautiful Harlem just a few blocks away from the A, B, C and D trains, and in a pretty, tree-lined residential area.
