About the Space
Clearly one of San Diego's most preferred venues for Photo and Film Shoots, this unique, classic Mid-Century Modern Residence is sited on hilltop with panoramic views to the east, including Valley views, to Mt. Helix (Cross) and the mountains beyond, with fabulous expansive outdoor view space. This Private Residence is gated, with an entry wall of cast concrete Mayan blocks,originally designed by Frank LLoyd Wright in 1933, for his L.A. projects. . The guest-usable well-appointed space includes a large high-ceilinged living room, dining room for buffet serving, or 6-8 sit down dining, full kitchen, and guest restroom...wall to wall windows across entire rear of the space for maximum utility of the view.Approximately 3000 S.F. of space includes both interior and outdoor spaces. The spacious hard-surface patio area with concrete-topped built-in barbecue,concrete dining table/chairs, chaise lounge, and patio seating makes this an ideal venue for CORPORATE MEETINGS, PHOTO and/or FILM SHOOTS etc., and will comfortably accommodate 5-50 guests. Located on hilltop just off of downtown La Mesa, and easily accessible from both Route 8 and Route 94, 15 minutes from downtown San Diego, with adequate street parking within one block in any direction.

This is an absolutely beautiful location with the most incredible host. Steven always responded quickly and was available to answer all questions and concerns. The space was even better than expected. It was clean, spacious, and well maintained. My team and I flow out to use to backyard to host a commercial photo shoot for one of our newest products. Everything was pristine and perfect when we arrived. Steven went above and beyond as a host by having landscapers come before hand, painting fencing, providing chilled beverages, and a great playlist while we were shooting. My team had a couple hiccups on our end and Steven was extremely gracious, flexible, and understanding which made solving these problems a breeze. I would love to use this space again in the future Incredible location, spectacular host, great experience!

Steve was a wonderful host. Very attentive, helpful and kind. We used his beautiful home as a space for our family and friends to get together for a proposal and photoshoot. We met weeks before to do a walk through to ensure this was the location we wanted. The home was just perfect when we walked in, pictures really don’t do it justice! It was so clean, open and just what we envisioned. Upon meeting the host, he made sure we had everything we needed and kept us informed of things that would be great for photospots and ideas for our proposal! We were able to decorate how we wanted and truly bring our vision to life. We absolutely loved our booking here and would recommend to anyone! It’s one thing to have a beautiful space such as this but you really cant beat the quality of service from this host.

Had fast response and the host was very accommodating to our needs. We shot a lot of content outdoors as the patio space has a lot of different little nooks to shoot in. There's also really great indoor lighting for indoor shoots. Would highly recommend!
