All hosts are required to do the following prior to each booking:
- Sweep, mop, vacuum and clean the space.
- Supply a hand washing station with soap, warm water, and paper towels or hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Clean common areas allowing guest access including bathrooms, kitchens, and entrances.
- Collect and clean dishes, silverware, and other provided host amenities, if applicable.
- Remove garbage and add new lining to cans.
About the Space
1500 square foot production studio/stage with 20'X12' corner Cyc wall. Stage lighting with light-board and grid, video projector and speakers with audio board still intact from previous life as a theater. Raised AV booth perfect to control lights, Dj or shoot from elevated position. This space is designed for photo and video/film shoots and interviews, but would be great for stand up, solo music shows, spoken word or poetry slams with a small audience of 50 or so. There is access to a kitchenette/meeting room, which can be exclusively yours for an additional hourly rate of $20. There is also a Small Grip and Lighting package available to rent for $175/day. Please message us for details. The space is conveniently located on Capitol Hill and near many restaurants. Parking is available street parking, and while it is plentiful during business hours, it can be quite a challenge after 5 pm. The space is ground floor and easily accessible from the street. For a photo or film production, the space would comfortably fit a crew of 10-20 people, for a reception or get together is would comfortable fit up to 30, and for an audience of standing only event, it could accommodate up to 50. There are 50 folding chairs and 4 six-foot folding tables at your disposal.

Parking description
There is usually plenty of metered street parking available during the day. Street parking becomes scarce in the evening, especially weekends, due to the night life in the area. If this is a video or photoshoot, you may also want to consider getting an all day parking pass from the Seattle Film And Music Office, https://www.seattle.gov/filmandmusic. That way you can park all day and do not have to worry about the time limit on the metered parking.
Space does not have natural light
Lighting description
There is not natural lighting in the studio. You control the lighting you want to use. There grid lighting to light the cyc wall, but you will want to bring your own lighting for your subject, or you may rent one of our DIVA light kits.
Space is soundproof
Ambient noise description
It is not a sound stage, but we have put considerable effort into conditioning the sound. We have double walls and double ceiling to separate us from the neighbors. Very little sound gets in.

Equipment loading description
There is a 30 minute load zone. You can also get a permit from the Seattle Office of film and music to reserve and park all day in front of the building. http://www.seattle.gov/filmandmusic/film/film-permits
Staging area is available
There is a kitchen/office area that you can either use for make up and wardrobe, or for your production office during the shoot.
Some rooms are off-limits for shooting
The equipment room is for employees only and will remain locked.

General Rules
Rules:
There is no smoking of any kind allowed in the space. Outside food and alcohol are allowed as long as it is done responsibly and there is someone in charge of the clean up of food and beverage. We adhere to the City's guidelines of Recycle, compost and landfill and ask our guest to comply. Use of glitter or confetti in the space is prohibited.

Multiple complaints. Space was very dirty. Cyc floor was already dirty indicative that Lauren barely visits and verifies this space prior to renting it to new bookers. Literally trash in corners of the floor, sticky tables, and just overall bad condition of most things. I communicated a need for Lauren to adjust our booking from 1-3 to 2-4 due to some major traffic. Sent her a text message and she replied "Yes" indicating no additional charges or anything of the such. Simply, "Yes". After I was all through, I went to text her about the issues we had with the DIVA lights we paid extra for! They didn't work, many of the bulbs were burnt out and none of the spare bulbs were actually functional, just burnt out already & put back?? The lights were way off-temp too. We couldn't use them & had to make-do with just flash, which was disappointing for the styles we wanted to shoot but couldn't. We asked for a reimbursement for the lights... her response? Well you got an extra hour so, why don't we call it even. Horrible host -- don't recommend.
