In 1941, this space’s barrel-shaped structure derived as part of the "Programmatic architecture" movement, which was a direct link to the rise of the automobile when business owners in the 20's and 30's designed their buildings to catch the attention of quick passing motorists. This space is one of the last standing structures of this type in Los Angeles and now serves Americana cocktails and fare that are a definitive time stamp reflective of its original era.
