This 1930's house boat is a one of a kind place on Portage Bay, and was completely remodeled in 2020. Formerly owned by famous Seattle restauranteur Ivar Haglund. This is one of only four houseboats built on piling's, which means it doesn't float, you don't have to worry about getting sea sick. Brainstorm your next strategic planning session with a front-row seat to all of the water activities on Portage Bay. The house sits 6-8 people comfortably and is very private. It includes an open living room, presentation monitor, full kitchen, and conference table. The sliding glass doors completely open up to the waterfront deck, creating an indoor/outdoor workspace with stunning views of Portage Bay, the University Of Washington, and both the University and Montlake Bridges. Across the street from the property is an Italian deli and grocery called Little Lago, which was recently rated by the Seattle Times as having one of the best thin-crust pizzas in Seattle. They also serve sandwiches, salads, espresso drinks, and pastries. Great for meeting snacks and lunch. Something else is mind? Reach out and we'll see if we can accommodate it. A couple things to note: there are 51 steps down to the house, parking is on the street, and we also have dock space if you want arrive by boat with your guests or supplies. We can accommodate a boat up to 36 feet in size.

This was the perfect meeting space for our staff retreat. We loved being able to use the kitchen table to meet, or sit outside on the deck overlooking the water. Communication was clear and easy. I would highly recommend booking this house boat.

This was an amazing spot for my team offsite. We were a team of five, and the space was perfect. If you can arrange a beautiful October like we had, that's a bonus. Everything about it was easy, and the location and serenity of water added to the quality of our meeting. Will definitely book again!

This meeting space is incredible! It is our company's go to meeting spot for leadership or team meetings. While there is no conference table, it has a great table in the kitchen and a couch area that lends itself to brainstorms and team discussions. An isle is also provided. Aside from that, it is an absolutely beautiful and comfortable space. I can't recommend it enough and there is a rason why our team always comes back.
